This week we have featured 'Mind Yourself' from The Scratch as our album of the week.
We recently had had Cathal McKenna on the podcast who is the bassist in 'The Scratch'; and we discussed many things about the album including recording, production, his favourite song, and many other insider details.
The album was produced masterfully by another stellar Irish artist and producer 'James Vincent McMorrow'.
The live sound that was captured in Blackmountain Studios in Jenkinstown, Co.Louth is second to none and showed the bands talent, musicianship & unity.
The lyricism really shines throughout all the tracks on the album, featuring the scratch classic signature wit, along with some more deeper cuts that can be construed in many different ways, Lango finds a way to grip the ears & hearts of the audience on an emotionally immersive journey.
The music is on another level entirely, with driving drums, punchy percussion & bold bass lines from Lango & Cathal making this rhythm section a force to be reckoned with, alongside rapid ravishing riffs from Jordan & Doc, the album will have you head banging from start to finish with sometime for reflection inbetween.
A masterpiece from start to finish.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy 'Mind Yourself' from the legends that are 'The Scratch'.

This week we have featured 'Cut Throat Culture' From Irish Metal Band "Words That Burn" as our album of the week.
We recently had Jason Christy on the podcast who is the drummer in Words That Burn; and we discussed plenty about their latest release 'Cut Throat Culture'.
The standard of this album is exceptional, the lyricism speaks in many ways, carrying a feel of timelessness with it as we can relate to the music regardless of when it was released.
The musicianship displayed throughout the album saw the band rise to a new level; be it the anthemic choruses, head banging breakdowns, driving double bass drum patters or the raging riffs, believe us when we say there is not one skip on this album.
If you are a metal fan & somehow this album has passed you by, give it a listen and let us know your favourite track.
