  • Pantone is the company that manages the color palettes through their color match system. The Pantone color codes. Adobe, which has licensed the system for years is now in a dispute with Pantone over the use of the Color Match system in Adobe’s products.

    Now, unless creators pay a monthly fee to Pantone, they can’t use the Pantone color code system and their design colors are replaced with Black!

  • In the 1980s, Lynn Goldsmith took a photo of Prince, it was licensed to Vanity Fair Magazine for a story. Vanity Fair had Andy Warhol turn it into one of his iconic paintings – and then he turned it into 16 Iconic versions of Prince. When Prince died, it was published again and Goldsmith sued for copyright infringement. It has made its way to the United States Supreme Court where the Fair Use and Transformative nature Doctrines will be on the chopping block.
