Hi Friend, and welcome to the Idea of Us. A Podcast that highlights good by interviewing great minds and learning best practices.
We discuss the big questions: How can we design a community where everyone feels loved and valued? In the spirit of I am because we are? What is good, and how much good is good?
In this episode, I will discuss the book the courage to be disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga based on Adler's psychology of individualism, and rightfully you might wonder. Why I podcast, which promotes community, wants to discuss the psychology of individualism and the courage to be disliked. Is not the whole theme of this podcast community and unity. Should we not like everyone, and everyone should like us in this context? I had the same thoughts, and we will make sure to answer those questions and through the key lessons, we will learn a different perspective on self-acceptance, confidence, and service. -
Hi Friend, and welcome to the Idea of Us. A Podcast that highlights good by interviewing great minds and learning best practices.
We discuss the big questions: What and who is us? What is good, and how much good is good? Also, what does it mean if we truly care for each other?
In this episode, I have the honor to speak to Arjana van der Plas about the topic of homelessness. Arianna is a multitalented and faced person. She is an Engineer, Yoga teacher, Leadership Coach, and co-founder of Women’s Hub Zurich. A safe space for women to build community, grow & develop and support each other. A digital session of the Women's Hub is also where we met the first time and we connected over LinkedIn where I saw that she was working in the impact space and learned more about the project behind the fog. Which is a project where she together with other change-makers are shares stories about people that don’t have a home in San Francisco. Their mission is to humanize homelessness one story at a time and I am so excited that she agreed to share all our insights, wisdom, experience, and perspective in today’s Show about a difficult topic that needs to be addressed and solved.
In this episode, you will learn more about Arjannas's inspiring story and the topic of homelessness in San Francisco. -

Hi Friend, and welcome to the Idea of Us. A Podcast that highlights good by interviewing great minds and learning best practices.
We discuss the big questions: What and who is us? What is good, and how much good is good? Also, what does it mean if we truly care for each other?
In this episode, I have the honor to speak with Mahmoud Khedr about the real meaning of happiness. I saw Mahmoud's Ted Talk and was so inspired and touched by it. He spoke about Toxic Positivity and the struggle that comes with it, and it resonated with me deeply. I will provide resources in the show notes. From the moment that I heard him speak, I knew that I needed to reach out to him to see if I can interview him for the Idea of Us, and luckily, he said yes. Mahmoud is a proud Egyptian, Muslim, Social Entrepreneur, and Ted Speaker, and we will discuss today the real meaning of happiness. And if we take a moment and think about it, the concept of happiness is more complex than we think. What is happiness? What does it take to be truly happy, and should we pursue happiness in the first place? In this episode, you can look forward to Mahmoud's inspiring story and where he also shares so many valuable aspects and insights into happiness. -
Hi Friend, and welcome to the Idea of Us. In this episode, Cameron Bigelow and I discuss whether Toxic Masculinity is real?
Cam is a good friend and colleague of mine, and his mission is to help people to feel their shit, and that is a mission that I can definitely support. In this episode, you will learn how toxic masculinity affects men and society itself, what men and allies can do about it, and how vital the role of mindfulness and breathwork is in that regard. I am aware that this is a controversial topic, and the aim here is not to bash anyone. It is to highlight misconception, change what is not serving us, and to create an understanding.

Hi Friend and welcome to the Idea of Us. In this episode, I will discuss the topic of toxic positivity.
I saw a beautifully constructed post about that topic on the Instagram page from Sarah MC Donald Artist and the context, as well as the art, captured my mind and soul immediately. I shared it with my community on Instagram it resonated with a lot of people. So I thought it only makes sense to research more about it and discuss this. This time today I will share my own perspective and research about Toxic Positivity and how the philosophy of Stoicism can contribute to it and hope you will enjoy it. -
