Today I’m speaking to Katie Martin, she’s the new EAL Teacher. EAL stands for English as an Additional Language which means she’s perfectly placed to help students who don’t speak English as a first language.
Now I loved this episode because I got to find out where in the world Katie has travelled to, not as a tourist but for work, getting to know people in different cultures and environments, and then how that’s going to help the students at NatMatSci given the experience that Katie brings.

Today I’m with Dr Andy Kemp, Principal at the college. We talk about what’s been happening at the college, the new boarding facilities, how the catering there has changed (and I think you’ll be impressed with these changes!) and what’s coming up in the future. But we also talk about technology, innovation, communicating these advances to the outside world before getting onto the subject of self-driving cars, always an interesting subject.
