"Fookin' laser sights..."
Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games that have had an impact on us and our lives.
In our seventy third episode, we discuss the long running competitive shooter, Siege. With great potential to be an incredibly rewarding tactical team game, the experience of playing Siege is defined by intense highs and lows. A steep learning curve and little room for mechanical error due to a very low TTK, makes Siege difficult to intially get into. However, we here at the podcast think it is an incredibly satisfying game to invest time into.

Yeah, Fortnite, we 'bout to get down (get down)
Ten kills on the board right now"

In our seventy second episode, we discuss the absolute monolith that the battle royale gametype has become. From Fall Guys to Fortnite, we talk about the highs and lows involved in getting a Victory Royale, chicken dinners, a crown and becoming a Legend. While we have differing opinions on the future of battle royales, it is impossible to ignore their cultural influence.

In our seventieth episode, we take a look at the vast discography of Cleveland industrial rock heavyweights, Nine Inch Nails. With grimey themes of hedonism, sexuality and self-hatred, Trent Reznor's band evolved a distinct sound that Aidan adored as a high schooler. With classic bangers like Closer and some insane deeper cuts, Nine Inch Nails deserve all the respect they receive.

"We humans do not understand compassion. In each moment of our lives, we betray it. Aye, we know of its worth, yet in knowing we then attach to it a value, we guard the giving of it, believing it must be earned, T’lan Imass. Compassion is priceless in the truest sense of the word. It must be given freely. In abundance..”
Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games, that have had an impact on us and our lives.
In our sixty ninth episode, we discuss perhaps the most highly regarded entry in the Book of the Fallen. Detailing the war against the cruel yet powerful Pannion Domin and the forces controlling it, Memories of Ice has some of the very best moments of the series, with intense emotional highs and lows, coupled with an incredibly well-paced narrative with Erickson's grand sense of scale. A pretty obvious SPOILER WARNING for the events of the book and some of the later entries in the series.

"That day, if our positions were switched... Would our fates be different? Would I have your life, and you mine? Let's settle this... Dante."
Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games that have had an impact on us and our lives.
In our sixty seventh episode, we discuss the latest entry into the awesome Devil May Cry series, with Devil May Cry 5. This insanely polished character action game has become an all consuming addiction for Nathaniel at the podcast, as he learns what true motivation is by attempting DMD No Hit runs as Vergil. An absurdly in-depth combat system, series defining style and a good dose of humour makes Devil May Cry 5 an absolute must-play.

'Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself'

In our sixty sixth episode, we take a deep dive into the climax of the Prequel trilogy with Revenge of the Sith. With some of the most emotionally impactful moments of the trilogy, Episode III, shows us the fall of Anakin Skywalker and the birth of Darth Vader. In our sixty fifth episode, we reach Nathaniel's entry to the Star Wars franchise with Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Whilst most certainly burdened with some brutally awkward dialogue and generous fistfuls of ham, this film actually provides an enormous service to the wider Star Wars mythos. The beginnings of the Clone War is the source of some of the most awesome and enjoyable Star Wars content. However, this film is also just a fun time of a blockbuster.

Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games that have had an impact on us and our lives. In our sixty fourth episode, we discuss Episode I of the Prequels. Introducing us to the age of the Republic in the galaxy far, far away, the Phantom Menace provides a new look at the world of Star Wars and begins the story of how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Although people can feel strongly for or against the Prequels, they are beloved by us at the podcast. Truly a wizard film.

In our sixty third episode, we conclude our look at the Original Trilogy with Return of the Jedi. May the 4th be with you!
Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games that have had an impact on us and our lives.
In our sixty first episode, we begin Star Wars Month with a discussion of where it all started, Episode IV: A New Hope. Although almost 50 years old, this grand entrance to the monolithic film franchise, still stands against the test of time. With some iconic moments and infinitely quotable scenes, it is a joy to revisit. Star Wars had a colossal impact on us all at the podcast, so we are looking forward to covering the rest of the films over the course of May.

Welcome to the Nerd Impact Podcast, where we discuss and dissect the books, comics, movies, TV shows, music and games that have had an impact on us and our lives.
In our sixtieth episode, we enter the world of Quirks, Heroes and Villains, with a discussion of the world of My Hero Academia. Created by mangaka Kohei Horikoshi, this manga and anime blazed to the top of Shonen Jump's popularity charts. A modern take on the shonen formula, set in a world in which being a superhuman is the new normal. With a distinct cast of characters and some potent emotional moments coupled with insane visuals, this show is deserved of its place as the new challenger to One Piece's crown.
