In this episode of the Power Skills Project, Adam is joined by Jit Ramesh to discuss the very important topic of self-awareness.
Jit is currently involved in a number of different projects aimed at creating conscious culture. Born in India and raised in Italy, Jit graduated top of his class from the University of Oxford after studying Materials Science and doing a research stint at MIT.
During this time, he began to notice something was amiss. He realised that life and work felt stressful, not because there was too much to handle, but because he was not equipped to handle his own thoughts and emotions.
So he began training as a psychotherapist and deeply explored meditative practices, even travelling around India for several months in search of better answers.
In this episode, Jit walks Adam through his own journey to self-awareness, why self-awareness is so important, how to support others in becoming more self-aware, and how to develop your own self-awareness.

In this episode of the Power Skills Project, Adam is joined by Dr Lalith Wijedoru, to discuss storytelling as part of the employee lifecycle.
Dr Wijedoru is an independent wellbeing consultant specialising in the use of personal storytelling in the workplace. His last NHS role was as a consultant in paediatric emergency medicine in Liverpool.
Lalith championed staff stories as a way to support NHS staff, winning the Staff Engagement Award at the Health Service Journal Awards, the Point of Care Foundationās Schwartz Award for the Most Powerful Storytelling Round, and the HPMA Excellence in People Awards in Employee Engagement while working with Organisational Development at the childrenās hospital.

To say that Chris had a tough start in life is an understatement. As a child, he was exposed to the antics of his fatherās biker gang. At one point, due to his parents being under the influence and inattentive, he fell out of a moving vehicle, breaking his neck. After this near-death experience, both of his parents eventually passed away from extreme drug use. Despite all of this, Chris now dedicates himself to helping others rise above their mental health struggles and implement successful coping skills.
