We are back after a 2 week break Matt and Tom are breaking down everything that happened in the weeks since the last episode. Spencer Turnbull and Corey Kluber throw the league 5th and 6th no-hitter of the year and it's still only May. Mike Trout suffers a calf strain and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. The Rays have caught fire and surge to the top of the AL East. The Yankees and Red Sox continue to play good baseball deep into the month of May.

Week 3 of the MLB season provided numerous dazzling pitching performances across the league. Headlining the pitching performances was Carlos Rodòn who threw the second no-hitter of the season and just narrowly missed a prefect game. Shane Bieber and Lucas Giolito duel back and forth in a masterful pitching matchup between division rivals. Trevor Bauer's two dominant continue to validate the strength of the entire Los Angles Dodgers' team. Yadier Molina reaches 2,000 career games behind the plate and became the first catcher to achieve this milestone with only one team. Finally, Matt wraps up another promising week for the Red Sox and Tom and Matt to an in depth conversation about the situation in the Bronx as the Yankees struggles continue.

Matt and Tom breakdown week 2 of the 2021 MLB season. Leading off the San Diego Padres' first no-hitter in team history was thrown by the San Diego native Joe Musgrove(4/9/2021). Sunday Night Baseball provided another electric game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves, with some late game drama involving a controversial safe at home call that gave the Phillies the win. Arizona Diamondbacks' Tim Locastro sets a new MLB record with 28 steals to start his career without being caught. Jacob deGrom dominating every lineup he goes up against yet the New York Mets still find ways to lose his starts. Finally, Matt talks the Boston Red Sox great week and Tom is disappointed with the New York Yankees play up to this point.

Next, we touch on Angels and White Sox series, specifically Shohei Ohtani and Yermín Mercedes. Dodgers look to be back on a mission in their opening series with the Rockies. Nick Castellanos gets a controversial 2-game suspension from the MLB due to his involvement in the benches clear in the Reds/Cardinals game over the weekend.
