One day I was on a call with a client when I heard these words coming out of my mouth.
I had never seen myself more clearly than in that moment. She agreed and I realized that we are all living life through the lens of compromise.
In that moment I could see the truth of my life looking me plain in the face.
I had done this for as long as I could remember. checking out mentally and emotionally and turning on the auto-pilot of life... just going through the motions.
The episode is about recognizing this so that we can stop doing it.
Why do we put ourselves in these situations. Where we feel so powerless that the only power we have is to disconnect ourselves from what we are experiencing all together.
I find myself doing this often. But the only difference is now I can see it. And that is the first step to changing it.
I call it living life with one foot out. Never fully stepping into who you are and what you came here to do.

In this episode I share with you my process of becoming the observer of my experience with depression.
You know when you have been experiencing something for your entire life and then one day you finally decide that you want to do whatever you have to so that you can wake up one day and feel some sort of sense of control over your life?
Yea that is where I found myself a few years ago and here we are continuing to process and heal and grow from each lesson presented.
I share this process so that you can know that you are not alone.
So that you know that you are not broken and there is nothing wrong with you.
I share this vulnerable state because I know that there once was a time (still is) where I really needed to hear these things.
I share all of the internal work I do with you so that you can hopefully find some support on your journey, and maybe a short cut or two.

So you know how I am that girl who went from being too shy to speak to people to being vulnerable as f*ck on every social platform I jump on?
Yea it kinda weirds me out sometimes lol.
I blow my own mind with how far I have come + how much progress I continue to make each and everyday.
But enough about me.

I only wish I had developed it at an earlier age + maybe I would've saved myself a lot of pain and heart ache.

I want you to recognize yourself REACTING before you get yourself into trouble.
REACTING is different than RESPONDING + what you want to do is RESPOND to every situation you find yourself in.
REACTING is literally Re-acting out a behavior that you have previously acted out or that was done to you.

This episode channelled through me during an emotional release while participating in a kitchari cleanse.
I decided to let myself live a little and have a little chocolate on the second to last night of the cleanse.
This is what that chocolate taught me lol... yea I am serious.
Lessons often come from the most unexpected places..
What is that Dumbledore quote? something about magic is found in the most unlikely of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light? Something like that... You can look it up if you want to lol.

So basically I noticed a thing I was doing that I didn't like + did not want it to continue happening.
This episode is me vocally processing my experience as I walked through it a little bit.
I notice myself (self awareness) doing things sometimes that I am not consciously choosing for myself (programming).
My goal is to switch the things I don't like into things I do like. In this example it is something a little deeper than the regular flipping of my internal script so I wanted to invite you along for the ride.
Just that single act of me expressing what was going on + choosing to make peace with it did just dat.
I am no longer experiencing those crazy feelings that I was when I recorded this episode last week.
I think it is wild how that works.
The part that is even more wild is that I totally freaking forgot about it. Like the whole thing.
That I was feeling those things. That I recorded this as part of processing it. That I had all of those experiences that had me in a funk in the first place.
I only remembered when I found this recording in my phone. That is what I call healing Bitch!
MAKE YOUR PEACE TRIBE!
The longer you refuse to see something, the longer you suppress, the longer you carry it with you.
I choose to let that shit go + move on with my life.
There really is no other way.

Did you know social anxiety is like a legit thing not just something experienced by the weird kid in class?
I didn't know about it until I had been struggling with it for I'd say just about... I don't know... MY ENTIRE LIFE!
So now here you go. In case you didn't know. Now you do.
Anxiety felt in social situations is a real thing. It is normal.
+ you can overcome it.
As I state in the episode, I never learned how in school.
- This isn't in the episode but that is why I joined a sorority in college + took acting classes at the same time. I wanted to break through the crippling anxiety. It helped a lot. But I still struggle at times.
Now my job is to overcome that shit, are you with me?
Do you battle social anxiety too?

What can you do today that will benefit your life in some way?
Just 1 thing.
I know you can think of something.
Doing just 1 thing everyday to improve your life is better than doing nothing.
I used to be one of those people who thought like this....
- "I don't have time to stretch for an hour so I can't do it at."
- "I only have 20 mins for that run so it's not even worth it."
- "I will only be able to get through a couple pages of this book before I have to leave so what is the point?"
Do you do this?
If you do then... STOP IT!
5 mins is better than no stretches.
20 mins moving your body is amazing + a couple pages a day adds up to an entire book before you know it.
Stop cutting yourself off before you even give yourself a chance.
Embrace all of the minutes.
Use it all up.
Because one day friend, those 20 mins will feel like what it really is... a gift from GOD.

What is your response when you find a solution to the problem that you have been battling for Lord knows how long?
Do you find that you are initially excited but then a different thought starts to creep in?
Maybe after the initial relief you find yourself thinking "Oh man, now I have to make these changes..?"
"Am I really going to be able to do this?"
Or maybe you just pretend you didn't even find that answer.
Or maybe you are one of those people who just discredits it as impossible right off the bat so you don't have to give it any thought...
Well this episode is all about leaning into, not away from making beneficial changes.
Why are you resisting the change?

This episode was channelled one day on my way to work.
I just recognized a pattern that I was repeating that was not serving me + decided to shift it + share it.

The Bitch is back and realer than ever.
I decided to come back after a much needed step back. I was really unsure with the direction I was moving and needed to make a shift. Things are flowing and I am ready to share again.
I created the AYURVEDAish brand and had originally planned to create a podcast under this same name. Well after a lot of contemplation I decided to keep The Worthy Bitch podcast and continue to share both Ayurveda as well as worthiness, trauma, relationships and all the real life things that don't get talked about enough.
While AYURVEDAish is a truer name to the service I want to provide through workshops and private coaching sessions, The Worthy Bitch is honestly truer to the nature of what I want to share in podcast form.
I have missed sharing on this platform and I am excited to be back connecting with you on this intimate level. Words are intimate. Listening is intimate. I recognize this bond and seek to meet you where you are in as many ways as possible.
I will not be on a set schedule with posting episodes at this current moment. I feel that the best content comes through when I am in flow and allowing myself to share organically in the moment.
So that is what I am doing and that is why you are sure to recognize the organic nature of these episodes. My main concern is not perfect sound quality, although I do recognize this as an important aspect, I am more concerned with providing content that is the most valuable to you.
