Call it idolatry, but we worship at the feet of Hans Wilsdorf and his apostles, at the altar of vintage Rolex. And while He has passed, a few of these evangelists remain.
John Buckley is one of those men, a father of this twisted church. There's little he hasn't bought, sold or debated and much less he hasn't held under a loupe.
So today we're talking his come up, controversies and future.
This is a two part-er. The second will be fully on Patreon!

What if Rolex doesn't even know if one of their watches is real?
Today Christian and Carl Cohen sit down to talk about the wild world of Rolex. A brand that has surpassed even the highest of accolades and became an untouchable entity among a world of "regular watches". So, what happens when a brand that was made to be a tool watch brand and to be for the everyman...loses that identity? What if all of a sudden watches they made for $100 were worth millions? What if the rope of history, references, and variations finally started to burn Rolexes hands?

Today Michael and Christian try to find meaning in the world...aka they discuss AP's newest launches. Michael also has a cold and feels a wee bit under the weather.

Oh boy, today we are doing that thing where an analog watch company talks about the Apple Watch because it has the word "watch" in it. Want to see Christian angry? Then this is the one for you.
Today the boys are talking about the Apple Watch. Christian thinks it's the stupidest, ugliest, thing in the world and will do his best to connivence you of that and Michael thinks it's a dystopian nightmare but has one so he can track how many calories he's burned on Peloton.
Will the Apple Watch take over everything? Did Michael ruin the world by buying one? Yes. -
Elizabeth's eldest son, Charles, 73, formerly the Prince of Wales, has immediately become the King of England. Today Christian and Michael will be taking a look at some of the watches he's worn over time, his signet ring, and then of course they discuss why Cartier isn't the right choice for a king AND what would happen if Christian became king.

That's all folks! -
Today is Christian's birthday so naturally we are talking about, death. Death, dying, all things not alive. AKA why Christian won't give his girlfriend his watch if he were to die.
We also talk about a Rolex DayDate that went DIVING. How cool is that? -
Well, the boys are talking Breitling and the little trouble that they may have caused.
Special shoutout to a fellow watch podcast that roasted us for like 20 minutes. -
Try to find a replacement, I dare you!
Today Michael is sitting down and talking about fine tuning his watch collection, losing a ton of crypto in Celsius, and how Rolex blew a HUGE hole in the watch industry. How can the watch market fill the whole left by the lack of Daytona's? Why doesn't the Omega Speedmaster step up? Can anyone?

One day Christian found himself having dinner with a super model and thought...these people think I'm an idiot.
Today on the podcast Christian and Michael are talking about why brands like Omega and Tag Heuer think you're stupid and why Rolex...has a bit more respect for your intelligence. Now does that mean they don't make good watches? No. However, after a bit of market research, a lot of problems start to arise. - Montre plus
