In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John welcomes back Steve Prendergast as a guest on today show. It was Steve who came up with a line that your subconscious mind is either your greatest asset or your greatest challenge in life. John and Steve bat that idea around. And John points out that the fact that a person is wired for survival is the biggest thing a person has to overcome. And he makes the analogy using higher forms of life coming to earth. If there was a higher life form that came to our planet and observed our planet, they would observed that human beings are wired for survival. And therefore they are fear-based and reactive.
But in looking at modern society today, it looks like humans have a pretty cushy life. Thereâs nothing threatening their survival on a daily basis. They all want to be successful and happy. But being fear-based and reactive is exactly the opposite of how they need to be in order to be productive and happy. These enlightened aliens would likely say -well letâs just fix that and letâs go into their DNA and reprogram them. We learned how to do that light years ago. The Takeaway from that story is that you can wait for enlightened beings to come to earth and reprogram you or you can take the responsibility for reprogramming yourself for success right now.
John then goes on to make a key point. The methodology that he has created is an ACTUAL WAY OF DOING LIFE. NOT ANOTHER STRATEGY. But an actual way of doing life. It takes 12 minutes a day. And from what John can see in the success and human achievement field, nobody else is providing that. And from that way of doing life, which takes 12 minutes a day, you override being wired for survival. And you turn your subconscious mind from being your greatest nemesis into being your greatest asset. Giving yourself immense control over yourself.

He also focused only on what moves the needle. Of course all that was reinforced in his life GPS template. So it was a combination of knowing the right strategies to apply coupled with having immense control over himself that caused his income to go up so much. John talks about his class at the University of Texas that he is currently teaching. Heâs re-creating 36 lies with intention. As he pointed out to his class, who you are today is a function of good influences and bad influences. Thatâs created good attributes in yourself and some negative characteristics that you would want to change. But all that happened by happenstance. Very little of who you are today was created with intention and clarity. As John points out to his class, letâs start with a blank sheet of paper. Letâs create the ideal you. In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John explained the topic of todayâs episode. The creation of your thoughts â you can influence it. And John presented an interesting concept. The thoughts that are going on in your head on an ongoing basis determine both your level of success as well as your enjoyment of life. No one denies that. But whatâs interesting is you can influence your thoughts when they are created. Let me restate that. When they are created.
And hereâs the opportunity. 95% of your daily thoughts and actions are unconscious. The fact that they are unconscious is actually the opportunity. Because if the opposite were true, and the majority of your thoughts were conscious, it be impossible to control your thoughts. But the key thing to appreciate is that since they are unconscious, thatâs actually the opportunity. The vast majority of thoughts actually originate in the subconscious mind. And by properly programming the subconscious mind with the succinct articulation of your life each day, exactly what you want to accomplish and how youâre going to accomplish your goals, thatâs the repetition that influences the subconscious mind. Thatâs what then causes the right thoughts to happen at their creation. Which then in turn causes the right actions to happen.
But the big take away from todayâs episode is that you can influence the creation of your thoughts. The other big take away is that 98% of people donât do anything to influence their subconscious mind. Thatâs exactly why so many people only use their conscious mind to set intentions. Then they are puzzled as to why those intentions never turn into reality. Well itâs because theyâre not influencing the part of their brain that controls their actions. The subconscious mind. Therefore the needed actions donât happen to turn those intentions into reality. All that is fixed with our 12 minute a day morning routine that influences your mindset. More specifically influences the creation of your thoughts in the mechanism that is generating your thoughts. The subconscious mind.

In this episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain what the full secret of the legendary book Think and Grow Rich actually is. As you may know, this legendary book that has been read by 150 million people, says thereâs a secret for success. But the author only reveals half the secret. John was blessed to figure out the full secret and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it. It caused his income to go up by 25 times over the $200,000 â $300,000 a year he was making the prior 20 years. Also met his wife from doing this. The bottom line is this 12 minute day methodology gives a person immense control over their lives. Beyond what theyâve ever experienced before.
And hereâs what the full secret is. What you envision in detail, with emotion, on a daily basis is what shows up in your life. What that means is you create immense clarity about your life. Exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how youâre going to achieve your clearly defined goals. Then you put that clarity on a template. So that it succinct enough to read it or listen to it in 12 minutes a day. Also allows for the science of the subconscious mind to be properly applied. In this debut episode of The Missing Secret Podcast, John and Kelly explain the science of success. And more specifically the science of leveraging yourself. As youâll learned in the episode, at 50 John Mitchell wasnât as successful as he thought he should be. He had been an entrepreneur for 20 years, consistently earning $200,000 â $300,000 a year. But as materialistic as this sounds, John realized that to have The Exceptional Life he always dreamed of, he had to start netting over $1 million a year.
Additionally, he realized he needed a partner in life and had to find the woman of his dreams. But at 50, how to change things? Then a pearl of wisdom came to John. Find the top book in the world on SUCCESS and apply that book literally Word for Word to his life. John then discovered that there is one book that has been read by 150 million people. Itâs the top book in the world on success by a factor of 10. That book is Think and Grow Rich.
So John rushes out to buy the book and then reads the book. Then he discovered the problem. The book says thereâs a SECRET for success, but the author only reveals half of the secret. Ultimately John buckled down, read the book 20 times over a two month period of time, and figured out the full secret, the missing secret, and a 12 minute a day technique to apply it. Then he started applying it to a new business he started in the reverse mortgage business.
Suddenly his income started doubling and doubling and doubling. To the point where he was making 25 times the 200,000 â $300,000 a year he was making the prior 20 years. John had leveraged himself through science. He was playing the game of life at a higher level. He could do things he couldnât do before. And he had a level of control over his life beyond what heâd ever experienced before. In this episode, John and Kelly explain how to use our AI algorithm to customize our life GPS template to your unique life. They start out by recapping the science we learned last week. Kelly explains the reticular activating system. How itâs the filter for the brain. And how important it is to give clarity to that filter regarding what you want and how you going to get it. The secret of think and grow Rich is what you envision in detail, with emotion, on a daily basis is what shows up in your life. What that means is you define exactly the person you want to be, exactly what you want to accomplish, and precisely how you can achieve your clearly defined goals. You put all that on a template. Thatâs what allows you to feed it to yourself and only take 12 minutes a day. The template also applies the science of the human mind. And then once you feed the succinct articulation of your life yourself each day, after 21 days the right actions start happening automatically without thinking. The thing that amazes John and Kelly is that so few people in the mindset and success business get this. That everything comes down to reprogramming the subconscious mind. Because when you donât, your intentions never turn into actions. And to go even deeper on this John restates the topic today. Your success comes down to the relationship you have with yourself in your moments of solitude. And hereâs why. Your actions determine your success. Your actions emanate from your thoughts. In this episode, John and Kelly discuss core wounds. John just got back from a seven day vacation to Sedona. Went to a retreat on marriage and took his whole family. His wife Ginger, and the two kids Will and Hannah who are in the 30s. Along with Hannahâs husband Charlie. It was life-changing for all. One of the key things addressed was core childhood wounds. We all have them. And they play out in our life and particularly in our marriages. So itâs important to understand what your core wound is. Johnâs core wound is not feeling heard and the fear of loneliness. Kellyâs core wound is having to be a people pleaser. John and Kelly discuss how using the think it be it methodology will cure the core wound. You figure out what it is and figure out what the affirmation is to eliminate it. May also give a reason why it doesnât affect oneâs life today. You put that in the persons visualization. Then you feed it to yourself each day. After 21 days, believe it or not, the core wound is neutralized and doesnât affect your life.
