What does it say about us as a generation, as a society, that we've got videos of people saying "If I were on a desert island, here's the 5 make up products I would bring"?
It's not about the make up, it's about what it represents. I saw that video the other day and it really got me thinking about all the stuff we fill our lives with, but does it fulfil us?
SO, I decided to bring you (and me) 3 ways to help de-stuff, or declutter, and make space for what really matters, whatever that may be. Because in the end, are we really living or are we just stuff-ing?

I first heard the saying, "Don’t put gravel in your own shoe before going for a walk," in an Ali Abdaal video, and it stuck with me. We often create imaginary roadblocks, solving problems that haven’t even happened yet.
In this episode, I’ll unpack how this metaphor has played out in my life — starting with a memory of my dad. He was always quick to encourage me to “just get started” instead of making excuses. With his practical mindset as my guide, we’ll explore why we hold ourselves back and how to stop getting in our own way. Life has enough real obstacles — no need to add gravel.

Intention vs. the Doomscroll
Episode 1 of Thoughts on Yesterday with Jess Today!
I recently heard someone ask the question "If your daily life was a film, would you watch it? Would you choose to live it?" and instantly felt personally attacked. Because I know that I waste way more time than is sensible on things that are neither necessary nor memorable. So, I thought I'd unpack the idea and offer a few practical strategies to replace doomscrolling with more meaningful activities. Life doesn't have to be about productivity, but when we make purposeful, intentional choices that we're content with, we create a story worth living.
