  • Dimitry Pompée from the wonderful podcast “Eurovangelists” and producer Julian Burrell join Hal for the rare THREE DUDES episode of Tights and Fights!

It’s a big time for change in WWE… Smackdown has moved to USA Network. And perhaps even more intriguing… RAW may move to two hours soon.

This is all happening as the card for Bad Blood on Peacock is being filled out with the finale of the Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk, Gunther vs. Sami Zayn 2 for the World Heavyweight Championship and Jey Usos competing for the Intercontinental Championship.

The Main Event: ALL RISE… FOR THE JUDGMENT DAY!

In 2022 Edge debuted a new look that helped launch his new faction The Judgment Day. Since then the group has added members, kicked out others and raised the profile of everyone in purple and black.

    The Three Count

Julian put over R-Truth NSFW (really).

Dimitry put over Joe Hendry on Eurovision???.

Hal put over Dave Bautista puppy interview.

Hosted by Hal Lublin, Julian Burrell and Dimitry Pompée.

  • Tap those lights for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Bash in Berlin was a fun show that gave us a lot to love. Gunther and Cody Rhodes expectantly retained their championships, but in a way that still gave us a lot to chew on for their futures.

Despite seemingly convoluted rules on paper, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre turned in a really fun strap match with a fun twist that we hope is replicated.

And one sore subject persists: with Jade and Bianca once again winning the tag team titles, is there any hope that that division will eventually be reoriented?

    The Three Count

Danielle put over Terror Twin Nuggiez.

  • This episode of Tights and Fights is part of a long and proud legacy of wrestling podcasts.

It’s Bash in Berlin weekend! The first WWE event live from Germany already has a fantastic Main Event lined up with Gunther vs. Randy Orton. So how do we feel about humble and “grateful for his long career” Randy? Not great!

In addition to breaking down the other matches on the card, we’ll discuss what’s becoming a trend in the Triple H era: 5 match cards for the PLEs. Is it a move for the best or are there too many missing elements on the shows nowadays?

The Main Event: Nepobabies, we make our dreams come true

Wrestling is the only place where Nepo Baby is a badge of honor. You can even call them a "second/third generation superstar" if you're feelin' nasty. And now that we're in our family wars era of WWE, we thought we'd take a look at some of our favorite legacy stars from over the years.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over ASMR- the Montreal Screwjob.

Lindsey put over The Tsunami to end all Tsunamis.

Hal put over The death of Psycho Sid Vicious.

  • All episodes of Tights and Fights are streaming now– including this one!

Roman Reigns briefly regained the most sought after jewelry in all of wrestling (narrowly surpassing CM Punk’s bracelet); but he was quickly taken out by Solo Sikoa’s crew. But let’s get to the real point: Would our cousins oust us from the family in the name of power?

Plus, The Unholy Union retained the women’s tag team championships– but is this a good sign of the women’s tag titles becoming a true marquee item in the company?

The Main Event: RAW on Netflix

When RAW moves to Netflix, it will be the most significant step away from traditional broadcasting in WWE. There have been so many steps along the way for WWE from YouTube to Hulu, to the Network to Peacock,

    The Three Count

Danielle put over Ronda’s AMA gone wrong (or right).

Lindsey put over Bryan Danielson hating pigs.

  • It’s an almighty episode of Tights and Fights!

WWE has struggled to establish women’s tag titles as a true attraction. Now they’re having a tournament for the number one contendership with several promising teams in the mix. But will any of them be able to solve the larger problems that have prevented women’s tag teams from reaching new heights?

Plus, while a feud with Randy Orton can doom a young champion, we’ll explain why we’re actually really excited for his match against Gunther.

And with John Cena’s retirement looming large we speculate about how he could put over a lot of great young talent… and still win that elusive 17th world championship.

    The Main Event: Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley has been successful both at the tail end of the Ruthless Aggression era and in the modern era. A multiple time champion in WWE and TNA who even had time to fight in MMA for a few years. Now he supposedly plans to leave WWE so who knows what the future may hold.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over No Hard Feelings about wrestling.

Lindsey put over Jesse Ventura being extra vocal about dummies.

  • Get ready to slam your Summer on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey breakdown SummerSlam 2024. It’s WWE’s biggest event of the season and there was SO much that happened!

There were four(!!!!) title changes at the event, which are all agreed to be for the best. So what’s next for the new champions?

The Judgment Day went through radical changes, sending Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley out on their own. Regarding Damian, maybe this new direction is exactly what he needs after a middling championship run.

And that’s not even to say that Roman Reigns is back! There’s no doubt that the shows are better when he’s around, so now we get to see him try to clean up his family drama.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over Bayley representing the next generation.

Lindsey put over 10 things Cody has.

  • Take your place at the podium for a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey tackle a question raised by Chris Jericho earlier this week: Could pro-wrestling be an Olympic sport? And upon what criteria would it be judged? And who would be the ultimate voice of judgment? Let’s fantasy book the Olympics!

Plus: One final look at Summerslam, which is thankfully this weekend so we can at last move on to other wrestling shows.

    The Main Event

It's the Summer Olympics as we record this and there have been a number of competitors who went on to perform for the WWE. There's Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Bad News Brown and more.

Today we're going to focus on Chad Gable! He last competed in 2012 Olympic Games and these days is locked in battle with the Wyatt Sick6.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over a private meeting between the boy kings of wrestling.

    Lindsey put over Peloton marks.

  • We have a week of reunions and debuts on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Danielle, Hal and Lindsey are back together again, just in time for the final push into SummerSlam.

No other group in wrestling has captured our hearts this week quite like Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler aka “The Studline.” Sure they may never actually be called that on camera, but they forever will be in our hearts.

And we’re torn between believing the Liv/Dom/Rhea story could be something that ends in a really cool and exciting new direction for everyone in the Judgment Day… or it could be falling into the same boring tropes that we always dread. Hold onto hope!

And hark! Does the Tribal Chief cometh in just a few weeks?

    The Main Event

Alison Brie is an actor who’s most recently appeared in Peacock’s “Apples Never Fall.” And wrestling fans know her as the star of Netflix’s “GLOW.” The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling brought a lot of new eyes to wrestling. Unfortunately the show was never given a proper conclusion. But it still lives on in the hearts of fans… including us!

We talk to Alison about the GLOW fanbase, what it was like to learn how to wrestle, whether or not WWE ever talked with her about getting in the ring and more.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over the belief in Joe Hendry.

Lindsey put over Cathy Kelly being a gift.

Hal put over Kevin Owens' great advice.

  • We finally have a triumphant return on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Lindsey Kelk at last returns from the UK and an extensive book tour. Though it was full of trials and tribulations, it was a glorious time; mainly because she got to interact with some wonderful members of the Nation of Conversation at every step of the way.

We’ll also get her opinions on some of the biggest stories leading up to SummerSlam (which is perilously close!). We’ve got Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk, Damien Priest vs. Gunther, Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan and so much more!

    The Three Count

Julian Burrell put over Big E percolating.

Lindsey put over the Nation of conversation making their presence known on the book tour!

  • Briefcases a-plenty on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Danielle and Julian join forces to discuss what may be the greatest women’s briefcase ladder match yet.

The men’s title match was a little less amazing but, there was still a lot to break down here: Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk is as hot as it could possibly be. And while there are some downsides to Drew immediately failing his cash-in, we’ll explain one reason why this may be a positive.

Plus: Rhea Ripley is back! And everyone from Damian, Liv, Dominik and all of RAW benefits from her presence.

Finally, with nary a salmon colored clothing item in sight, John Cena has announced his retirement tour. We explain why this version of bowing out makes sense.

    The Three Count

Julian Burrell put over Oba Femi and his future

Danielle put over Mansoor establishing his own ribbity raps.

  • Children of the 80s and 90s, we’re ready to dive into your nostalgia (and educate anyone who was born in subsequent decades, of course). It’s a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Hal and Danielle are joined by Danny Tamberelli– He’s been in tons of classics including The Mighty Ducks and “The Adventures of Pete & Pete” and “All That” on Nickelodeon. His latest book is entitled The Road Trip Rewind.

Together our panel will discuss their favorite wrestling toys from over the years and why the tropes of romantic comedies aren’t that different from the tropes of wrestling.

    Buy your WWE Man-Pons!

    The Main Event

“The Macho Man” Randy Savage is an absolute legend of wrestling. Iconic voice, great look and an all-around icon. We get into why he was so great and is still remembered all these years later

  • Say a pod and we appear! We believe in Tights and Fights!

Hal and Danielle are joined by Kefin Mahon, wrestling podcast host-extraordinaire (including the long-running “How2Wrestling”).

Together they run through a cycle of big time wrestling shows: WWE, AEW, TNA and NXT. That’s right, we’re hitting ALL the bases today!

Plus, the era of the Wyatt Sick6 is upon us! Bo Dallas being interviewed by Uncle Howdy was incredibly compelling. We talk about that and why this new version of the family has a chance to succeed without Bray.

    The Main Event

Kurt Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He had an incredible first year in the WWF, winning multiple championships in short order. That kick-started a career that spanned decades and multiple companies and performances.

    The Three Count

    Julian put over Panchoooooooooooo!

Danielle put over a hazardous work environment.

    Hal put over OUTTA NOWHERE.

  • Clash at the Castle was another abroad WWE event that once again upset the hometown crowd… but maybe it was for the right reasons? We’ll discuss why we’re totally okay with Drew McIntyre still not winning the World Heavyweight Championship.

But who should be the champion next? Despite a great showing in this match, Damian Priest seems like he’s floundering. Maybe a returning Seth Rollins?

Plus, we light a candle for the fallen Chad Gable. Gone so quickly after signing a new contract.

    The Three Count

Julian put over the raw emotions of Glasgow.

Danielle put over Bret Hart at his best.

Hal put over the double turn.

  • NXT Battleground featured cameos aplenty from a number of unfamiliar faces from outside the usual confines of Performance Center. How did TNA Knockouts champion Jordynne Grace do in her first match in WWE? And who may be the next person to make an appearance in TNA to NXT pipeline?

Plus a bit more about why a certain champion should stay in NXT a little longer and why there may be room for ONE more title on the main roster.

    The Main Event

For this segment, we’re joined by Rufi Thorpe, author of the new book Margo’s Got Money Troubles (which will also have a series on Apple TV soon).

Bret Hart’s match against Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13 and his infamous exit from WWF are both well documented; but in between those moments was a largely under-discussed heel turn that helped lay the foundation for the Attitude Era.

    The Three Count

Julian put over Cody Rhodes being invited to the cookout.

Danielle put over Zelina Vega dislocating her shoulder.

Hal put over Unwritten/unbrokken and Travis Kelce’s lease on life.

  • It’s time to bid one dollar on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Damian Priest has been World Heavyweight Champion for several months now. So why does it feel like we’re still waiting for him to step his game up?

In other title news, LA Knight finally has his eyes set on Logan Paul and the United States Championship. But how to navigate these waters since both of these guys could really use a win? Perhaps it would involve… giving Logan Paul the Money in the Bank briefcase?

    The Main Event

For this segment, we’re joined by J. Keith van Straaten, host of the MaxFun trivia podcast “Go Fact Yourself.”

For most of 2009, Monday Night RAW would welcome a series of celebrity guest hosts. This included everyone from Snoop Dogg to Seth Green to Peewee Herman and dozens over others. But one man stands above nearly all others and is in the conversation for the greatest celebrity RAW host: Bob Barker, long standing host of The Price is Right.

    The Three Count

Lindsey/ Julian put over a beautiful cover of Taylor Swift and Drew’s cat life

    Danielle put over real art.

  • Let’s all bid a fond farewell to our favorite man on a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

This past Saturday was King and Queen of the ring- another WWE PLE live from Saudi Arabia. There’s a lot to like about seeing a foreign crowd excited about live wrestling, but lest we forget that these shows are directly paid for by a murderous regime with awful politics. So let’s talk about that.

Regardless of how we feel about the show, the results will play into the weekly shows as well. Gunther and Nia Jax are now certified royalty and will get championship matches at SummerSlam.

Plus, Logan Paul remains infuriatingly good at wrestling; and NXT is officially working with TNA in an expanded capacity with Jordynne Grace booked for a match against Roxanne Perez.

    COOKIE!

    The Main Event

Becky Lynch has been one of the biggest stars in WWE for several years now. She's held titles, main evented WrestleMania and been relied on to do a lot on this most recent run. But as of this week she is no longer the Women's World Champion and has not signed a new deal with the company.

    The Three Count

Lindsey put over Instagram. All of it!

Danielle put over twitter. All of it!

  • All hail the brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

We’re another week closer to a big PLE in REDACTED where a new King and Queen of the Ring will be crowned.

Now that Gunther has dispatched the would-be King Yeet, Jey Uso, it feels like it is the Ring General’s tournament to lose. And him vs. Randy Orton could be a lot of fun.

On the women’s side, there’s one person emerging as the favorite of Danielle and Lindsey’s who may surprise you.

Plus, after a tease, it looks like Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes will only be for the WWE title with no double-champ implications at play. Hal will tell us why he’s a fan of the move.

Plus: Harry and the Hendersons starring Otis!

    The Main Event

The WWE King of the Ring goes back to 1985 when Don Murraco became the first monarch of WWF. Since then dozens of others have competed for the honor of WWE's funniest honor.

    The Three Count

Lindsey put over Peacock's new show (which has a star you may recognize).

Danielle put over a surprising possibility to be Queen of the Ring.

Hal put over Shane McMahon vs. Kurt Angle.

  • Get those crowns shined up, it’s a brand new episode of Tights and Fights!

Danielle and Lindsey discuss which wrestlers have leveled up in the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Is Gunther destined to get a crown and be led to the ring on a little chariot? Why are we so confident that Ilja Dragunov will be fine despite losing to Jey Uso? And why would we be okay with Nia Jax finessing her way to a win in the finals?

Plus, we lament the fact that Logan Paul is still really good at wrestling and will probably have a great match with Cody Rhodes.

    The Main Event

We’re joined by Brenda Snell and Austin Taylor, our friends from the MaxFun podcast “Secret Histories of Nerd Mysteries” to talk about one of the wildest WWE ventures of all time:

In 1999 Vince McMahon had a vision for a combination restaurant, retail store and night club in Times Square called WWF New York. It featured WWF music, memorabilia, PPVs… and was absolutely not long for this world since it shut down just under four years after it opened. WWE later opened a sister location called WWE Niagara Falls which was open from 2002 to 2011. They even recently had another go at the physical location for WWF, but you’ll have to visit Saudi Arabia to see it.

    The Three Count

Lindsey put over Sami Zayn on Netflix is a Joke.

Julian put over Paper Mario (a secret wrestling game).

  • C'est un nouvel épisode de Collants et combats!

Hal and Lindsey are joined by producer Julian to fill out third chair for the week.

This past weekend was Backlash, WWE’s first ever PLE live from Lyons France. The crowd was positively aching for wrestling and cemented themselves as one of the loudest in recent memory.

But in the aftermath, questions abound: With Tonga Loa now part of Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline, where does the group go from here? And now that Cody Rhodes has gotten his first defense out of the way, what’s the next program to really cement him as the top guy in WWE?

Plus with King of the Ring now underway, we speculate what its essential function is in WWE these days.

    The Three Count

Julian put over SGW’s recent Go Fund Me

Lindsey put over Sheamus vs. Gunther. Nuff said.

Hal put over Shayna Baszler's soup habit.

  • Happy Backlash weekend! The best way to celebrate is a new episode of Tights and Fights!

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey preview the card. But since it’s Backlash and is largely supposed to be a show that’s a little lower on the priority list, it’s quickly derailed by conversations of snacks.

But let’s not be too harsh: Bianca and Jade may be tag champions soon! Tiffany Stratton is back in the WWE title picture-but you know what? She probably has great taste in candy.

We’re also joined by comedian, author and podcaster Jamie Loftus. She’s written the book Raw Dog: The Naked Truth about Hotdogs and the newly launched podcast "Sixteenth Minute (of fame)." She also happens to be a huge fan of The Big Show, as she explained the last time she was on our show.

    The Main Event

In 1999, The Big Show was the WWF champion. In the storyline, his father had just died. And the man who really had a problem with it was the Big Boss Man; he interrupted the ten bell salute, read a poem making fun of him and was a general menace for a few weeks.

    The Three Count

Danielle put over Dwayne Johnson (allegedly) using bottles for bathrooms.

Lindsey put over a lil more wrestling x Taylor.

Hal put over obeying your parents.
