    Childhood and early years in football
    Tom Brady was born in San Mateo, California, in 1977.
    He grew up playing football with his brothers and friends.
    He was a star quarterback in high school, and he was recruited by many top colleges.
    He decided to attend the University of Michigan, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1997.
    College career at the University of Michigan
    Brady was a four-year starter at Michigan.
    He led the Wolverines to a 30-9 record and a Big Ten championship in 1997.
    He also won the Heisman Trophy that year, becoming the first Michigan quarterback to do so since 1947.
    Early NFL career with the New England Patriots
    Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
    He was expected to be a backup quarterback, but he quickly became the starter.
    He led the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory in his second season, and he has won six more Super Bowls since then.
