The very ground shaking, the room filled with the Presence of Heaven.
Peace and power intermingled in their hearts. Lives changed, needs satisfied, bodies healed, purpose revived, weary hearts renewed. These were men and women just like you and I, yet skilled in the warfare of prayer. Their prayers shook the world, and changed lives.
No mumbled tiny prayers in a corner, but bold faith -filled prayers, the same kind of supplications this final remnant will have. From the very first disciples to this final outpouring in our day, one weapon will set us apart, the mighty weapon of power prayers. First Samuel one introduces us to the beloved, barren wife of Elkanah. Her name was Hannah and she needs no introduction to modern readers of the Bible. Her prayer, faith and her destiny as the mother of the great prophet Samuel, is inspiring at best. But what of Hannah and Elkanah's relationship? And why do Bible translations all give a different rendering of some very obscure words about love, offerings and worthy portions in 1 Samuel 1 verse 5?
In this Bible bite, Aliyah answers this very question, and the answer takes us deeper in to the humanity of both Elkanah and Hannah, where love wears two faces, both of sorrow and of joy. -
The book of Judges echoes out with a loud refrain, "and everyone did what seemed right in their own eyes." This reality set the stage for multiple deliverers to rise up and be used by YHWH to deliver His people from enemy oppression. One deliver was Jephtah, an outcast with a tragic past. In a moment of war he vowed to offer a costly sacrifice to the Most High, of whatever would meet him at his door on his way home.
Filled with joy at her fathers return from Ammonite defeat, Jephtah's daughter grabbed a tambourine and ran through the doorway with singing. Jephtah tore his clothes in despair for his daughter would be the sacrifice. In this teaching, Aliyah asks (and answers) the question of what happened to Jephtah's daughter? And what can we draw from the lament that went out about her life? How do we burn our daughters today and why should we care? -
John chapter 15 is a beautiful chapter, a deep discourse between Yeshua and His apostles. Every word was spoken with meaning, intention and purpose, Yeshua wanted His disciples to know the path of life. The path to take for maturity and fruit bearing. He spoke of this way to those who could hear, those who desired to mature and live in the holiest of places where His presence dwells.

Trials, they come. Battles, we will wage them in different degrees as we journey through this life. In this teaching, Aliyah takes us along in to the moment following Esther's victory over the Jewish foe Haman.
While some would call this the moment of victory, when Haman's body hang on his own gallows, YHWH had a greater victory in mind. He led His people through their time of trial, and delivered to them, an absolute victory.
This victory came through sacrifice, and belief. This teaching is about our own trials, about our own valleys, and what we can expect from these places in terms of absolute victory. Rain falls and drenches the thirsty earth, sliding into cracked rocks on mountain tops. We wait for it. Reliant on rain to fall to water the earth for the harvest of fruit and food we so desperately need to survive.
But rain fall, it doesn't only happen in the physical. We stand waiting, those with eyes to see and ears to hear, these are the mature ones waiting, for the promised Latter Rain. The rain that will supersede every former thing, every drizzle, and misty evening. And yet while the mouths of many proclaim a time of rain, there are conditions to its coming and a unique purpose for this Latter Rain fall. Not everyone with a barren, unworked, immature field will be blessed to receive this Purpose - Rain. The lazy, unfruitful people who call themselves YHWH's people will not receive this blessed promised Outpouring. But the ones with readied fields of mature grains of heavy wheat, will be found filled and sent out to write the second book, the second acts of the apostles -

When the Master Gardner takes a look at your heart what will he find? The Scriptures are clear that as a man sows so shall he reap. Yeshua said that we are to go bear fruit and that in this, His Father is well pleased. The fruits we bear are to help the nations, to reveal to them who them one true Elohim is and to bring many to the saving knowledge of Messiah, It is by our fruits that we will be known.
