In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I dive into the bronchus, trachea, pleura, and mediastinum, breaking down how these “tubes” influence pain, movement, and posture in ways you might not expect. You’ll hear why addressing the bronchus can help with everything from shoulder and neck pain to foot pain, and why the mediastinum is one of the most powerful areas to assess and treat for whole-body changes.
I share practical, immediately applicable insights on how to approach the bronchus and mediastinum in treatment, what anatomical connections you can’t afford to miss, and why restoring the thoracic curve is crucial for improving dynamic alignment and breathing in your clients.
Whether you’re working with complex pain cases, high-level athletes, or the everyday person, this episode will help you see the lungs and bronchus as powerful tools in your treatment approach. Tune in to learn practical ways to create change beyond local symptoms and elevate your outcomes with a true whole-body lens.

What happens when you don’t get results in 1–3 visits?
In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I get honest about some recent challenging cases and how they’ve affected my confidence and creativity. While I often talk about guaranteeing results in just a few visits, this week is a reminder of what it really means when that doesn’t happen and why that’s not a failure, but a signal to dig deeper.
You’ll hear me break down two challenging client cases that pushed me to reassess everything from visceral and neural inputs, to collaborative care with the medical team, and lean on trusted peers for perspective. I also share what helped me stay grounded when self-doubt crept in and how you can apply those same strategies in your own practice.
If you've ever second-guessed your skills when a case didn’t progress as expected, this episode is a must-listen.

In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I’m joined by my friend and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Missy Albrecht. I first connected with Missy through our mutual friend Jill Miller, and I’ve been fascinated by her ability to seamlessly blend visceral and orthopedic approaches in a way that’s both grounded and effective. In this episode, Missy shares how her journey from chronic fatigue and unresolved back pain led her to the transformative power of visceral work. You’ll hear us talk about how the body compensates around internal dysfunction, what it takes to gain trust in your hands, and why general listening is often misunderstood. We also dive into how shifting our language around healing can empower both patients and clinicians. Whether you’re new to visceral manipulation or have been practicing it for years, this episode will reignite your curiosity, challenge your biases, and remind you that your most valuable tool is the ability to listen.

You’re doing too much when you see a client with acute back pain… This episode of the Unreal Results podcast is sparked by recent incidents involving a colleague and an athlete who both experienced acute back pain symptoms. Most health and movement professionals are trying to do too much when treating acute back pain, most often neglecting the body’s natural protective mechanisms. In this episode, you’ll hear me talk about what I do when I have an athlete experiencing severe back pain and how to assess and provide gentle, effective treatment for acute back pain. This episode is filled with immediately applicable techniques for what is most likely a very common issue that health and movement professionals see in their practice. Don’t miss it!

One of the questions I often get asked is if the LTAP™ works for post-surgical cases. In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I dive into a recent client that I had who underwent a fairly complex ankle surgery, where I of course, utilized the LTAP™. You'll hear specific insights into her LTAP™ assessment and the treatment strategies I utilized, emphasizing the crucial interplay between the nervous system, visceral organs, and musculoskeletal system for optimal recovery. Whether you're managing post-surgical patients or not, this episode underscores the power of a whole-organism perspective to achieve significantly improved outcomes for all your clients.

You had to go and make it awkward, didn’t you Karen…? On this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I unpack the crucial interplay between body positioning, ethical touch, and the nervous system's role in therapeutic outcomes. In this episode, you’ll hear about a Karen calling me out in the comments of a recent Instagram post regarding my body positioning in an assessment I was doing in one of my courses. I address the reasoning why I utilize that technique, but I also share a story from my past as a patient illustrating the significance of verbal & non-verbal consent. This episode serves as a powerful reminder for healthcare providers on the importance of communication and creativity in treatment approaches, all while maintaining a professional demeanor with your clients.

In this episode of Unreal Results, Anna sits down with LTAP™ alumni Taflyn Wilschinsky, a pelvic health physical therapist, and Nikki Bybee, a movement practitioner specializing in dancers. They dive deep into how the Locator Test Assessment Protocol™ (LTAP™) helped them confidently navigate complex cases, especially when clients presented with layered symptoms or extensive medical histories.
Taflyn shares how LTAP™ gave her the missing structure she needed to prioritize treatment for her diverse pelvic health patients, while Nikki explains how the assessment helped her bridge the gap between biomechanics and nervous system-driven strategies.
Together, they discuss why thinking in “parts” falls short, how to meet the body where it is, and how this work leads not only to faster, more efficient treatment but also to greater confidence, better client outcomes, and less burnout. Whether you're new to visceral and neural work or you've taken a dozen courses, this conversation is a refreshing look at what whole-body assessment and treatment can truly be.Join the LTAP™ Level 1 NOW

If you’re someone who wants to treat patients more effectively without wasting time on guesswork, this one’s for you.
In this episode, I sit down with Kacie Shively, a physical therapist in the Tri-Cities area of Washington and owner of Game Changer Physical Therapy, to talk about what shifted in her practice after taking the in-person LTAP™ course this past February.
Kacie works almost exclusively with athletes, from middle schoolers to pros, and efficiency is non-negotiable in her one-woman practice. She shares how learning and applying LTAP™ helped her:
Quickly identify and treat the real root of a client’s lingering painFeel more confident in her assessments and hands-on decisionsAchieve better, faster outcomes with her athletes, one who had spring training deadlines right around the cornerWe also talk about why the structure of the LTAP™ course helped her actually implement what she learned (immediately), how the assessment process helps cut through complexity, and how LTAP™ gives you a framework to apply your existing tools with more precision, whether that’s cupping, needling, exercise, or soft tissue work.
It’s not about learning more. It’s about knowing where and when to use what you already know.
This is a great listen for anyone wondering if LTAP™ is “worth it” or if it’ll actually help in their daily clinical reality.

In this bonus episode, I chat with my longtime community member and friend Bethany Clark, a massage therapist based in Boise, Idaho. Bethany has taken both the online and in-person LTAP™ Level 1 courses, and she joins me to talk about how she’s integrated the LTAP™ into her massage therapy practice.
Bethany shares how the LTAP™ gave her something she was desperately searching for: a structured, body-led starting point that allows her to support her clients’ nervous systems without guessing, projecting, or over-pathologizing.
We get into:
Why test/retest changed everything for her practiceHow LTAP™ offers a “clinical anchor” in a world of vague nervous system talkWhy she loves using it to avoid resistance in sessions (and how it saves her time + energy)What it’s like to blend intuition with structure as a massage therapistAnd how she’s built a truly trauma-informed practice—without needing to know every detail of a client’s storyWhether you’re in the massage world or just interested in seeing how LTAP™ works beyond traditional rehab, Bethany’s insight is a powerful reminder that you don’t have to be a PT or chiro to use this work meaningfully (and confidently).

In this bonus episode, I’m joined by my friend and colleague Dr. Katrina Kneeskern, a physical therapist based in Minnesota, who shares her journey from professional burnout to rediscovering her passion for patient care through the LTAP™ approach.
We dive into what initially led her to the LTAP™ Level 1 course, how she’s been using it in her practice since taking the online training last fall, and what shifted for her after experiencing the in-person course in Denver.
Katrina opens up about:
How she went from feeling stuck in a rigid orthopedic model to confidently treating the whole personWhy learning where to start (and not just what to treat) changed everythingHer experience as a neurodivergent learner and how the LTAP™ format supports different learning stylesThe powerful shift that happens when you stop guessing and let the body guide youWhether you’re feeling a little bored in your clinical work or just looking for a more effective way to treat complex patients, this episode is packed with real talk and practical insight.

In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, you’re going to hear I utilized the LTAP™ (Locator Test Assessment Protocol™) in a specific chronic shoulder pain case. This episode is a replay episode because I thought it would be great for you to hear how I use the LTAP™ while the doors for my online LTAP™ level 1 course are still open. In this episode, you’ll hear how I unraveled a 5-year mystery of chronic shoulder pain and a recent heart attack scare, ultimately revealing a visceral driver impacting the costovertebral joint. This episode provides insight on not just how I use the LTAP™, but how I use it for virtual assessments, as well as the importance of recognizing symptoms, asking the right questions, and not being distracted by the client story!

Since the doors are open to the Spring 2025 cohort of the online LTAP™ Level 1 course I am sharing extra episodes of the podcast highlighting other practitioners and how they use the LTAP™ in their practice. (Enroll now! https://www.movementrev.com/ltap-level-1-online)
In this bonus episode, I’m sharing a candid conversation with my friend and colleague Sara Tanza, a pelvic physical therapist from Northern California who’s been using LTAP™ in her practice for a couple of years now. This was originally recorded live inside our Missing Link course community, but I knew I had to bring it to the podcast feed too.
Sara and I talked about her journey through different aspects of physical therapy—from neuro to ortho to pelvic health—and how the LTAP™ approach helped her finally connect the dots and feel more confident in knowing where to start with her patients.
We get into the whole-body perspective, how letting the body lead has completely shifted her treatment flow, and why this method fits seamlessly into all kinds of practices (and personalities).
Whether you’re an AT, PT, chiro, strength coach, or Pilates pro, this one’s for you—especially if you feel that “I’m missing something” itch in your clinical reasoning.
Oh, and yes—we geek out a bit about energy, ego, the patriarchy in healthcare, and why we need more yin in our treatment rooms.
Enjoy!

We’re revisiting the LTAP™ core beliefs in a replay episode on the Unreal Results podcast this week. I thought this would be a good time to talk about these again because the live online LTAP™ level 1 course is opening up for enrollment next week! In the episode, you’ll hear that the tenets of the LTAP™ are grounded in osteopathic principles and standard anatomy & physiology to shift the paradigm from a musculoskeletal focus to a whole organism approach. Just like in every LTAP™ class that I teach, this episode will challenge your deeply held beliefs and practices as a healthcare and movement provider, and ultimately lead to better patient outcomes.

We’ve got another replay this week on the Unreal Results podcast as we revisit episode 54, A Better Way To Assess The SI Joint. If you happened to miss last week’s episode, part of the reason we’re revisiting this episode is that my free course, The Missing Link, is starting again soon, and it’s all focused on the SI joint. In this episode, I address the complexities of the March (Gillet’s) test including critiques of why past studies on the reliability on this test just aren’t that great. You’ll also hear about how strategic and structural hypomobility often influences the SI joint and why that can provide valuable insights during your assessment. If you’re a physical therapist, athletic trainer, or other health/movement provider, and you want better outcomes for your clients, I highly encourage you to check out my free mini-course, The Missing Link, to learn more about how you can utilize just one assessment at the SI joint to get immediate results.

We’re back for another episode of the Unreal Results podcast after a much needed hiatus! If you’ve been here for a little bit, you know my stance on swelling after injuries is to have it pretty much eliminated after 48-72 hours. Unfortunately, that opinion about swelling often gets confused with inflammation and tissue healing. In this episode, I talk about common swelling reduction strategies like R.I.C.E (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) and the newer P.E.A.C.E. & L.O.V.E. protocol and why they may not fully optimize the body’s natural healing processes. You’ll also hear specifics and my experience using my Swelling Reduction Protocol with my athletes for acute injuries, as well as managing excessive, stagnant swelling that can impede recovery. This episode will challenge your assumptions about swelling and help you to elevate your practice to the next level.
