gerund participle difference
What is a Gerund? When we use a verb in place of a Noun, that is known as Gerund.
How is a Gerund formed? By adding 'ing' in the verb's first form.
The three different ways in which Gerunds can be used are : 1) they can act as a Subject in a Sentence 2) they act as an object in a sentence 3) they are used as a compliment of 'to be' verb.
What is an Infinitive ?
An infinitive is the "to" form of the verb. That means an infinitive is made by using "to" before the verb.
An Infinitives can be used as Nouns, Adjectives, or Adverbs.
Now what is a participle ?
It is not the main verb in the sentence .
It functions as an adjective in the sentence.
There are three kinds of participles in English: present participle, past participle and perfect participle.
I hope you have now understood the difference between Finite and Non finite verbs.

This is the first lecture based on The Verb, parts of speech.
In this lecture i tried to explain the topic Verb and its types in a very simple and easy way so that you may clear your doubts.

There are two types of verb -
1) Finite verb

Linking verbVerb & its types, use & examples in Hindi || Basic English Grammar
Now why did I call this a part of speech?
because verb is one of those 8 Parts of speech which help us to make a sentence . And verb is one of them.
A verb is a word that describes an action, an event or state of being.
A finite verb is a form of a verb that (a) shows agreement with a subject and
(b) changes as per the tense.
Finite verbs are sometimes called main verbs
If there is just one verb in a sentence, that verb is finite.
Non Finite verbs don't have any agreement with the subject. That is they are not limited as per the change in subject or tense of subject. It doesn't change as per tense, or as per person, or as per number. do not perform any action in the sentence.

First of all, A Very Happy New Year guys. May this year ahead bring you good luck and happiness. Today I will review a book, which is a very fresh piece of this New year, 2021.
"The Room That I’ve Found" is a collection of beautiful poems . The book deals with interesting themes such as confession, love and philosophical with Sufi flavour in it. Mostly the poet talks about the inside quest of oneself. The whole book is divided into four parts, which I don’t want to reveal. Better you take a look into it and find the latent beautiful poetic pieces. The author holds subtle ways to convey what he wants to say in such simplistic phrasing. If you too want to read the book you can get the book on Amazon book store online . Here is the link of that book๐๐ป https://amzn.to/2KZRZg7 See you guys again very soon in another episode ๐ค Happy learning โค๏ธ -
