Special guests Jes us and Chris!
Mike Taylor, Rami, Domenic, Justin, and Luis come together to wonder about things and non-things. Some of the kinds of things we wodered about included souls and spirits.
I left around 10:30 AM for another meeting. I came back two hours later to have a brief conversation with Rami.
I removed 50 minutes of silence that was recorded right after the last conversationalists Domenic and Chris left the meeting, at around 11:30 AM. Then at around 12:30 the silence ended when I came back. So I am looking forward to listening to this episode because I missed about an hour of conversation.

Welcome friends, enemies, neutrals, and kind mothers. This episode is an extract from the almost 6 hour conversation that ran from around 7 AM to almost 1 PM on a saturday morning, May 22, 2021. This was a meditation conversation on the knowing about our knowing. What we do naturally all the time, except when we take a break from it. It's been called consciousness, awareness, mind, states of mind, mind(s), chitta, primary minds, mental factors, mental arisings, thinking, feeling, talking inside, visualizing, dreaming, affecting.
Here we have an example of Beings being conscious of consciousness? How would you define consciousness?
If we consider a definition of consciousness as that phenomena in which a sentient being experiences knowing, then what is involved in this knowing? Is there some kind of input and processing, and some way of producing enough output to allow for communication with other beings with consciousness?
This day, Saturday May 22, we had Luis Del Pino appear, and I invited Justin Shenryu Williams because I saw that he had messaged me on Facebook Messenger. And he joined up.
Also showing up and contributing are Mike Taylor in Winter Park, and Domenic in Toronto.

Wow! This was an excellent discussion between second-time visitor Adriana (welcome back), Rami, Mike Taylor, Luis, David, and Joel. Rami thankfully volunteered to help me out as assistant facilitator in making sure everyone got to speak their truth and prevent any of us from hogging the conversation. Adriana is the one who views us human beings as created in a likeness or similar essence to God as being energies of Love; Rami is the one to be saved; Mike is the mathematician; Luis is the realist; David is the words man; Joel is in Toronto (showing up in the second half) but always a pleasure and brings us his wit and stories; and I, Jairo am your fearless host and facilitator, just out of the hospital from overcoming the COVID-19 with pneumonia.
Rami suggested the topic and pointed us to a verse in the Gospel of Mark, second chapter verse 17. Available online at Mk 2:17 https://biblehub.com/mark/2-17.htm
We also read Rami's ponderings on the necessity of a Savior. That is available for a limited time only on my OneDrive by using the link https://1drv.ms/b/s!Alvu7V4Xziot46Uo782b9269YqfTiQ?e=3cb7mr

I wasn't feeling too well that day, and since a few days before, and I had been thinking it was only a cold with a coughing that would not go away, sneezing, sleeping poorly, incredible headache, eventually turned into pneumonia and poor oxygen intake. I didn't realize that I had developed COVID-19 with pneumonia. A few more days of delay from my eventual treatment for over a week beginning in January 8th and I would have been dead or seriously maimed from the COVID-19 desease complicated by pneumonia. Nevertheless this day, Saturday morning, the second of January 2021, I wanted to have my Zoom meeting with friends Luis, David, and whoever else might show up.

Welcome to a conversation with Luis, Rami, David, and Jairo. We cover being, non-being, the mind, the dipole between attraction and repulsion, ataraxia, some political and religious trends, and lots of prodding to keep each other honest. We strive to seek and develop whatever skills, tools, and knowledge may help us along our journey in life, or at least to remind us of how to lead a better life. I hope you enjoy this one. I really appreciate everyone who participated. It made my stay in the hospital for COVID-19 more bearable.

The beautiful song "Madre Mundo" by Rafa Sanchez is introduced. The topic is "Instincts or Policies" suggested by David Norton, to help us question what is going on. Welcome back Rami Kuttaineh! Thanks again for dropping by, Seth and Joel. Always great to have David and Luis.
So, do you strive to live your life based on your instincts, while struggling to not get in trouble with the policies that are placed and enforced on us by those in power, and by society, and even by our family and loved ones? -
Luis Del Pino introduces us to Abraham Maslow's Theory Z, Self-Transcendence, Peak Experience. We are joined by Estary nine minutes past seven AM. Soon we are joined by Justin in London seventeen minutes past seven AM. The conversation is an experience in itself. The YouTube version of this meeting is at https://tinyurl.com/WU-TC-YT-20200919 and a supplement to that video is an audio version of the article by Timothy Conway, PhD. on Maslow's Theory Z and Maslow's 24 points on his theory, narrated by a computer voice with text to follow along the audio https://tinyurl.com/maslowz and for the source material by Conway, visit http://tinyurl.com/maslowtheoryz

For part 2, it's just Justin and I having a conversation on Buddhism.

Welcome again to our Saturday morning Zoom meeting, this one for September 5, 2020. Luis Del Pino, David Norton, Justin Shenryu Williams, and I are gathered for the first hour. Justin loses his internet connection. Then everyone else has to go. That's the end of this part 1. But in part 2, I am rejoined by Justin Shenryu Williams.
-
Here's Part 2 of the whole session split into two parts. Part 1 contained conversations with Luis Del Pino and David Norton. In this part, Part 2, Justin Senryu Williams, a friend I gained on Facebook, joins us. And halfway through this part, Mike M. from Chicago joins us. This conversation gets a little political, but it's cordial and informative. We learn a little about how it is like in England and Europe, according to Justin. Justin is a master bamboo flute player, and he plays a little here, I ripped it and used it as an intro to this episode. I hope to get some more of his playing on here. Thanks Justin.

We're meditating on whatever is on our mind that's important to us. Luis Del Pino, David Norton, and I discuss and investigate the meaning of certain words and what great thinkers thought. I cut this session into two parts, this is part 1. Part 2 will introduce Justin from London.

This meeting was a meditation on Freedom. Looking at it from both the outer (political and economic) freedoms and the inner (our very personal) freedom.
You can find the YouTube video version of this meeting at https://youtu.be/27i8jHJxR7I
The woman Chriss whom we have seen in other meetups both in person and online joined us and contributed much to the conversation.
There were present the regulars, "the three musketeers": Luis Del PIno, David Norton, Rami Kuttaineh
And there was I, Jairo Jamyang Pawo to introduce everyone and host the meeting.
Thank you everyone for making this and other meetings memorable, and I have them here for all to listen to. May it benefit someone some day and give hope and inspiration to all.

Here's part 4 of 4 parts. The conversation lasts about 38 minutes in this part. Thanks for listening and enjoying the four parts making up the Zoom meeting session that occurred in June 27, 2020. Here you will hear Luis Del Pino converse with Rami Kuttaineh, Jairo Jamyang Pawo (yours truly), and Ken Hernandez (in Cassadaga), but in this part, Mike M (in Chicago) was not present.
Here's a link to a OneDrive folder with both a pdf and a Word doc version of an article titled "Boltzmann's Concept of Reality" by Marcelo Ribeiro and Antonio Videira :

So here's part 3 of 4 parts. This meeting features conversations with Luis Del Pino, Mike M (in Chicago), Ken Hernandez (in Casadaga), Rami Kuttaineh, and Jairo Jamyang Pawo, yours truly. All four parts come from one session recorded with Zoom and is available on the YouTube channel "WakeUpnThinkClearly" with a gallery view of the participants. I also have the full 2.5 hour version here in this podcast as an earlier episode.

So here's part 2 of the 4 parts of the Zoom meeting we had Saturday morning of June 27, 2020. The conversation lasts about 45 minutes in this part. You will hear mostly Luis Del Pino, but also you will hear Ken Hernandez respond to and interact with Luis. Mike M is still here. Rami will eventually join us but prefers to listen. He is more active later on in part 3 and 4.
Here's a link to what we are dealing with, an article titled "Boltzmann's Concept of Reality" by Marcelo Ribeiro and Antonio Videira :

In this article we [Ribeiro and Videira] describe and analyze the concept of reality developed by the Austrian theoretical physicist Ludwig Boltzmann. It is our thesis that Boltzmann was fully aware that reality could, and actually was, described by different points of view. In spite of this, Boltzmann did not renounce the idea that reality is real. We also discuss his main motivations to be strongly involved with philosophy of science, as well as further developments made by Boltzmann himself of his main philosophical ideas, namely scientific theories as images of Nature and its consequences. We end the paper with a discussion about the modernity of Boltzmann’s philosophy of science.

I had previously uploaded the full episode lasting 2.5 hours, but here I am breaking it down into 4 parts lasting about 45 minutes each.
This meeting features conversations with Luis Del Pino, Mike M (in Chicago), Ken Hernandez (in Cassadaga), Rami Kuttaineh, and Jairo Jamyang Pawo, yours truly. This part mostly features Luis, Mike, and I. You may want to slide to the 13-minute mark more or less to begin listening where we get down to business.
So here's part 1 of 4 parts. The conversation of part 1 lasts about 47 minutes, and a little less that amount of time in each of the other three parts.
Here's a link to my OneDrive where I have a folder "Concepts of Reality" which contains the article titled "Boltzmann's Concept of Reality" by Marcelo Ribeiro and Antonio Videira (one in pdf and another as a Word Document:

Luis Del Pino, David Norton, and Jairo Jamyang Pawo discuss a little about everything to try to be comprehensive. David introduced a little about the Plandemic Controversy or Conspiracy theory. Jairo introduces a meetup that occurred on 52 Living Ideas, days before this discussion, and pulled up CJ Fearnley's notes on The Necessities and Impossibilities of Comprehensivism, which CJ presented to a group of listeners at the 52 Living Ideas meetup hosted by Shrikant, and here's the link to that meetup: https://www.meetup.com/52LivingIdeas/events/twpxvrybclbqb/ and here's an intro to CJ's notes dated August 4, 2020: If comprehensivism is the process of making sense of it all and of each other, is it even possible? Even if it is impossible, is it necessary that we pursue as many comprehensive comprehensions as we can muster? How can we reconcile the necessities and impossibilities of comprehensivism? The CJ Fearnley blog on Comprehensivism is here: https://www.cjfearnley.com/CfC/2020/08/the-necessities-and-impossibilities-of-comprehensivism/

The article that we were supposed to have studied was Peirce’s Deductive Logic, an article found at the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy online. The talk features Rami, our host for this meetup that occurred on June 5th, 2020, with special guest mathematician-logician and science fiction writer Mike Taylor, and I, Jairo, got around to introduce an alternative logic system from ancient India, and an expert on logic systems giving a talk on Buddhist logic on YouTube. But Mike Taylor's excellent grasp of mathematics and logic saves the day, and Rami's skillful questions bring out the best in Mike Taylor the professor and sci-fi writer. This is part 2 of this meetup, which began as we were switching meeting accounts.
I will eventually have the Zoom video of part 2 up also at the YouTube Channel Wake Up and Think Clearly, or squashed together it is WakeUpnThinkClearly.

Alex the Space Ace may have dropped in for a while some time if not in this part then in the next part. This is part 1 of this meetup, which ended as we were switching Zoom accounts. So I will look for the next part in my Zoom cloud. Thanks for listening.
