Alright - we are finally posting podcasts real-time, so maybe we can talk a little more about current events and current life in Korea!
Here's a little background we don't mention in this episode: last weekend was 설날, or Lunar New Year, and it's a big holiday on this side of the world! (We even got two days off work.) Most Koreans visit their families or their ancestors' tombs so there is a lot of travelling. For that reason, Seoul feels a little bit less crowded for a few days. As foreigners, there isn't much to do besides see other foreigners or go to events designed for people like us (with no family to visit.) This time, we chose a yoga and wine tasting class hosted by a Korean American. Hear about that adventure (lol) as well as why we think cafe culture is such a big deal here!
Happy Year of the Dragon, y'all!

This is the last podcast episode from 2023! (February to be exact...) Angela and I talk about her experiences going on first dates in Seoul, discovering a love of vegan food, and Angela's deep-seated dislike for the local Chinese food.
Warning there are adult topics discussed in the first 5 minutes or so.

Episodes manquant?

Join me for a conversation with my first roommate in Seoul - an extremely dry, fashionable, multi-cultural European queen, 신이 (pron. Shihn-ee). We met in language school and I absolutely fell in love with her. I realized that we have both moved around quite a bit in Seoul, so I figured this would be an interesting topic for us. (I could talk to her about anything and enjoy it.)
Though this was also recorded over a year ago, our prejudice against Americans abroad remains. :,( Lol. We also cover topics like attending language school as adults and the street fashion scene in Seoul.
Cheers!

Okay, my bad. This episode was recorded in January 2023. (It took me a long time to find a non-corrupted version.) It's still not a perfect recording but I wanted to post it because the content was interesting and the people are wonderful.
This is a long one but we cover some interesting nuances of working in South Korea versus working in the United States. Join me as I talk with two of my friends - one new to working in corporate South Korea and one who has spent her life here but only worked in small Korean companies.
I recently (2024) caught up with these two friends again and we decided it would be great to re-make this with a full year of experience for all of us (including me - now an official contributor to the Korean economy!)
Let me know what other things would be interesting to learn about working in Korea.

Just now getting caught up on some fun conversations with each other. This episode was recorded last winter (February 2023 - time flies!) Join us as we talk about our weekend going out in Itaewon, going camping in the Korean winter, and failing at dry February.

This was recorded literally 14 months ago (lol) but now that we're up and running, I hope you tag along! Join us as we talk about our weekends dancing in Seoul, going to crafting classes, and whether we should start an Enrique Iglesias fan club.

We are besties that decided to make a podcast to share about our experiences living in South Korea with our friends and family at home in America, as well as anyone with similar interests.
Great to meet you!
