Jason Momoa has entered the chat! Yes, the episode weâve all been waiting for - the arrival of Ronon Dex.
But why is no one else concerned with UV exposure like Rodney is? Itâs really important! Thereâs some interesting tension now between John and Caldwell over who is actually in charge when Caldwell is on Atlantis.
Generally, this is a really interesting episode for Rodney. Heâs doing all the Rodney things but then he actually shoots Ford and itâs all kinds of amazing.
And now that weâre into the actual start of this second season of Atlantis, weâre excited to see where it goes.

We finally meet the new big bad for Stargate in Origin. But just how evil are the Ori? Is it the religion or the men we need to be concerned with? What exactly is their relationship to the Ancients we already know?
TPTB have gotten some amazing guest stars already with Louis Gossett, Jr. as Gerak! He will be an interesting character to get to know over the season.
Was it really such a good idea for Mitchell to just bring that Prior back through the gate to the SGC? They know nothing about him or what he wants. Maybe not the best decision.
There is some confusion over how the communication stones work given what we see happen after Daniel and Vala connect the second set of stones in the Ori galaxy. Who exactly woke up in the SGC infirmary? Was it Daniel and Vala or Harrid and Sallis?
Overall, this is a very interesting beginning to a new chapter in the Stargate saga. Weâll see how well they meet their own brief of commenting on the men and not the religion itself.
We end with an interesting discussion of what we would like to see in whatever new Stargate series might be coming our way. Do we want more SG1 or perhaps more Atlantis given its unfinished ending?

Episodes manquant?

Will the team make it out alive or be squished like bugs? Letâs find out as we continue our season 9 rewatch with Avalon, Part 2.
We love the call back to the communication stones from Citizen Joe. Whatever you do, do not play a drinking game with these episodes where you drink whenever someone says âHallowed are the Oriâ because you will die.
It was strange how Fannis didnât give Vala any kind of heads up about what was expected of her at tea with the Administratorâs wife. Or just say she was sick and wasnât going to make it. And this all leads to one of the most graphic scenes in all of Stargate - the burning of Vala.

There are massive changes afoot at Stargate Command as Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell tries to get the team back together in the season 9 premiere, Avalon Part 1.
What does goaâuld money look like? Do they have what we would consider money? Crypto, maybe?
We love the dynamic between Daniel and Vala so much. Itâs so fun and different from anything else on the show. Theyâre amazing.

Weâre continuing with Stargate Atlantis as we delve into The Intruder. Given the plot, of course, we have to know what a wraith hacker is like. And who would be the better hacker - the goaâuld or the wraith?
Weâre really liking Caldwell. He might be in charge, but he still takes advice from people who have more information about certain situations.
We are confused by Weir and Simonâs relationship. What exactly are they to each other? It just seems so odd that he would consider a year such a long time that he ended up meeting someone else.
It is kind of funny, though, that the solution to the problem is to turn it off and on again.

We have called an audible and are starting with the conclusion to the intense final episodes of Atlantis season 1 with Season 2, episode 1, The Siege: Part 3.
There is so much that happens, but even so, it is very well paced. It starts off with a bang and just keeps going. We do love the small moments of comedy they were able to fit in amongst all the insanity, too.
And poor Rodney. Can he please just sit down for five seconds?

Before we move on to SG1 season 9 and Atlantis season 2, weâre taking a little break and watching David Hewlettâs directorial debut - A Dogâs Breakfast! Itâs a delightfully eccentric horror-comedy in the vein of classic British movies of yore - Pink Panther, Arsenic and Old Lace, A Fish Called Wanda.
Thereâs also a crap ton of Stargate people in it. Including Christopher Judge as a guy who canât get a date! What?? Tune in to find out what we thought.
Also, SPOILERS!! There is a twist at the end of the movie that we discuss in detail.

Time to wrap things up as we discuss Stargate Atlantis season 1. The highs. The lows. The best and not so best.
Some of the choices for our Top 5 episodes might surprise you. And you might want to make sure youâre not drinking anything during Rachaelâs game. You will spit it out and make a mess.
And there are further discussions about toilets on puddle jumpers. There have to be but itâs gotta be super awkward.

Time to wrap things up as we discuss Stargate SG1 season 8. We debate our favorite episodes, guest stars, and some of the things that maybe didnât work so well.
We also answer listener questions about the entire Stargate series to date! What was successful? What wasnât? Will we ever see the Furlings?
Donât forget to check out the Discord (link below!) to vote in the polls so we know who is right and who is wrong.

Weâve reached the end of Season 1 of Atlantis with one hell of a cliffhanger in The Siege Part 2.
This episode is a really good example of what we felt was missing from some of the final episodes of SG1 season 8. Where the military are doing their job but thereâs still a feeling that there are emotions being displayed where itâs clear they understand the severity of the situation.
All that said, this episode is so intense and they do a really good job of balancing the moments of hope with the moments of despair.

The end of season 8 arrives with Moebius, Part 2. And itâs a good one.
We are so happy to see Kawalsky back and he looks very happy to be there. We do wish the script had been a little more explicit as to what exactly is happening on this mission that they only refer to as âthe mission.â
Christopher Judgeâs performance as the alternate Tealâc is really amazing. Heâs usually so stoic so to get to see all these emotions play out on his face is really nice.
Our one complaint is still about the Jack/Sam stuff. Thereâs just no build-up to the moment of them getting together. Itâs just Jack calls her hot out of nowhere and thatâs it. Where was the flirting? Where were the side-long glances at each other? We needed more.

The arrival of the Wraith is imminent as the SGA finale starts with The Siege, Part 1.Or does the A this week in SGA stand for Armageddon? If so, does that make Rodney Bruce Willis?
We both agree that Bates actually has a point about Teyla and her connection to the wraith being a cause for concern. They donât know how it works and who knows what information she could inadvertently be giving them.
We also run into the issue again of there not being bathrooms in the jumper or, most likely, on the satellite. These are things we think about. Also, did Rodney and the others nap at all? If not, they were likely awake for a very long time. That doesnât seem like a good idea with what they were trying to do.
(Also, I was apparently talking really fast during this whole episode. SorryâŠ. ~Kerri)

The SG1 season 8 finale starts with Moebius, Part 1. Rachael LOVED this episode. As did Kerri. But this is overall a very good episode.
How exactly do deliveries to a facility like Cheyenne Mountain work? Wouldnât some kind of National Security thing prevent things like that?
Why do SG1 just decide the only option is for them to stay in the past forever rather than waiting for a time when the jumper is unguarded or put somewhere they can sneak into and get it back?
Amanda Tapping is a comedy genius in the alternate future timeline. The little changes she makes to her physicality and expressions are so fantastic. We love her. And itâs fun to see the show poke a little fun at itself in the new timeline.

Teylaâs nightmares may have a deeper meaning as they explore The Gift. Rachael has questions about the things that happen.
We learn some interesting information about what happened to Teylaâs ancestors and the wraith's evolution.
What exactly is this wraith telepathic network and how does it really work between the wraith themselves? Can they just take over each otherâs bodies like that one did with Teyla?

Daniel has a tough choice to make (again) as we watch the extended cut of Threads. Rachael actually watched both versions and shares her thoughts on what the cuts do to the tone and flow of the story beats. And there are some noticeable tone changes with the edits that were made.
Yâall know we have thoughts on the Sam and Jack relationship so the only thing weâll say is that we like Jack and Kerry betterâŠâŠ Moving on.
Do you prefer waffles or pancakes? Whatâs the best (American) fast food diner for breakfast food? These are the important questions we must ask.
RIP Jacob Carter. We shall miss you dearly. Although, all things considered, he probably got the best death one could hope for on this show.
Hereâs the big question - Anubis is a goaâuld symbiote possessing a human body. Did the human consciousness ascend along with Anubis? How does ascension work with two consciousnesses?

Itâs time for Atlantisâ only (and the franchiseâs final?) clip show, Letters From Pegasus. So you know what that means. Itâs commentary time!! Grab a drink, grab some snacks, and buckle in as we commentate our way through.
Although, this does have more plot than Kerri remembers. Teyla goes a little hard on the insistence that they HAVE to save that one family. We get it, but also this is a war and John has a good point. And it does kind of bite her in the ass at the end when he comes running up to the ship with way more people than just his family.
Carl Binder did an excellent job of scripting the messages home. They all feel really true to the characters. We love (to hate) that Kavanagh is still holding a grudge and instead of talking to his loved ones, decides to air his grievances with Weir instead.

Weâve reached the culmination of almost 8 years of storytelling with Reckoning, Part 2 and yet there are still three more episodes left in the season!
Itâs still weird that nobody mentions anything about Daniel until the very end of the episode.
Weâre always amused at how easy it is for Earth technology to interface with Ancient technology. And also that thereâs always an interface at the ready to decipher/translate whatever data is being read.
Baâal is just amazing in this episode. Heâs so smarmy and smug and we love it. But tell us, what is Baâalâs hacker alias?
And Wagner asks a Very Important Question: Where are all the fatherships?

Itâs time for a good old-fashioned treasure hunt as the team contend with The Brotherhood. But first, have a sneak peek at our new podcast - Sound Effects with Kerri and Rachael. J/K Thatâs not a thing.
This episode is really fun. All the little puzzles and problems they come up against really work for us and make sense in the historical context. We also love all the stuff between Rodney and Allina. Itâs just adorable and funny. Until the very end, at leastâŠ.
But the ending could have gone a very different way if theyâd just explained that they ARE descendants of the Ancestors. Atlantis originated on Earth. The ZPM was left for them.
And just what was that wraith dart doing in the city? Weâll find out in a few weeksâŠ.

The goaâuld and Asgard and Replicators! Oh, my! Everyoneâs here in Reckoning, Part 1. Except for the Furlings. Theyâre always left out of everything. We do like this episode but some plot points are just a little too glossed over for our liking.
What is the context with people needing to be dying before they can ascend? Death has nothing to do with Ascension, right? Itâs just about knowledge and enlightenment. Has that changed since the Ancients first did it? Why is Ascension now a âcake or deathâ situation?
We have now trademarked Baalogram.

The expedition finds an Ancient in stasis deep in the city. Or is she? Indeed not! Elizabeth Weir has traveled back in time and, with the help of an actual Ancient, has corrected the problems that led to the catastrophic failure of the first Atlantis mission in Before I Sleep.
The old age make-up done to age Torri is reall, really well done. Thereâs a few things this episode does that are really interesting: it uses time travel to help explain some of the âItâs TV! Of course it all worked out!â things from previous episodes; it shows us that the timeline weâre watching as viewers was not the prime timeline, which it usually is.
There might be an issue with the overall Stargate timeline as the evacuation of Atlantis back to Earth is happening at roughly the same time Ra discovers Earth and starts kidnapping people to make them slaves. How close in time did those two events actually happen?
The Stargate Master Timeline: https://www.gateworld.net/wiki/Timeline
And, of course, we hear from Wagner and how accurate the time travel and Rodneyâs comments on it are in this episode.
