  • In today’s episode we will open your eyes up to the many creative ways that you can enhance and add to your wedding style. We will also help you understand the difference between a wedding planner, stylist and coordinator, what each of their roles are and whether or not you would like to invest in any of their services.

    In this episode I share:

The difference between a wedding planner, wedding coordinator and wedding stylistWhat’s involved with each of these roles and when you should look to hire themHow to find the best fit for you and things to keep in mind when booking13 ways you can get really creative with your wedding styling, as well as lots of examplesExamples of the styling features we introduced to our wedding day, to creatively and uniquely incorporate our personalities within our festival wedding theme.

This episode's “Quick Tip” is - to Ditch Traditions! The key to creating an authentic and personalised wedding is to simply do things your way from beginning to end. While some wedding traditions can be sweet and sentimental, others might not fit your style. Instead of feeling pressured by what a traditional wedding “should” look like, draw inspiration from your own personality and relationship. This will ensure the end result is a celebration that feels unique, genuine and completely personal to you and your partner. Let’s be honest; with so many weddings to attend, your guests will definitely appreciate something a little different!

  • In today’s episode we will help you know which suppliers are the most important to lock in first, as some services book up months and sometimes years in advance. I will also run you through my tips for choosing your suppliers and help you feel more confident in knowing you're choosing the right ones for you.

    In this episode I share:

The suppliers you need to lock in first and why.The steps to take in order to choose your suppliersMy top 5 tips for finding and locking in your perfect suppliersThe items to check before booking them in and signing on the dotted line

This episode's “Quick Tip” is - choosing good suppliers that get your vision and will go above and beyond to make your vision come to life is key. You need to feel comfortable with them and build a relationship with them, then everyone is invested and the results will be truly amazing! Where possible, choose suppliers that have worked together before. For example, having a photographer and videographer that know each other and know how each other likes to work makes for much better results. Creatives bounce off each other, so if you are putting two together that don’t know each other from a bar of soap, then it’s going to be pretty hard for them to find a good vibe within the space of a few hours - what’s worse is if they do know each other but don’t work well together. It pays to ask your suppliers who they recommend also, especially if you are set on booking them in.

  • In today’s episode we will show you what to do and when, in terms of planning your wedding and following a timeline. It can be quite overwhelming to know what needs to be done first, how far out things need to be booked in and what to concentrate on month by month in the lead up to your big day, so let me guide you through this process. This timeline will help get things done in a timely and stress free manner.

    In this episode I share:

I walk you through my wedding planning timeline, based on the average 12 month planning runwayI break it down month by month, showing what needs to be done and whenI share my 6 tips for reducing stress throughout your wedding planning

This episode's “Quick Tip” is - Try and get as much stuff done early, especially anything DIY, even if they are small jobs, as in that final week or two, time is not a luxury you have. The more you can get completed early, the less chance there is of you forgetting things and it will allow you more time for any last minute changes or oversights. So in other words, don’t wait or put things off, if they can get done now, then get them done and tick them off the list...trust me, your future self will thank you for it!

  • In today’s episode I’m going to give you the low down on traditional wedding venues vs naked spaces or private properties and how each brings a unique set of plusses and minuses. By the end of this episode, you will have a good overview of these 3 options and it will help you and your partner decide which avenue you want to go down.

    In this episode I share:

An overview of the 3 types of venues you have to choose from and what they each offerThe pros and cons list for each of these 3 types of venuesA summary of the pros and cons and the main things you need to take into consideration when making your decision.

This episode's “Quick Tip” is - if you are creative, resourceful and love the idea of doing a bit of DIY, then a private property or naked space wedding is a great way for you to be able to put your personal stamp on the day. Don’t be deterred by the hard work that is involved, as the planning process is a fun one, especially if you love organising and getting your hands dirty. I certainly loved the entire process and I would honestly do it again in a heartbeat. Also remember that you always have the option to hire a Wedding Planner or Stylist to help you pull everything together, so if you still want to go down this route, but you don’t want to organise everything yourself, then look to hire a professional. I certainly love doing this job for my clients, it really is the work that sets my soul on fire!

    02. Planning 101: Getting clear on your non negotiables and your wedding vision

  • In today’s episode I’m going to explain the difference between your wedding theme and wedding style, as this can be a bit confusing. We will then go through how to decide on your wedding theme and have some fun creating one of your most useful tools - which is your wedding mood board.

    In this episode I share:

The difference between your wedding theme and your wedding style5 steps to help you decide on your wedding themeSteps to create your wedding mood board, including what to include on your board, whether you create it digitally or printed and the purpose and use of this mood board.

This episode's “Quick Tip” is - every time you need to make a decision regarding the look and feel of your wedding day, be sure not to make this call until you have referenced your mood board and checked that it is in line with your overall wedding theme and style. This is vital in order to create a day that makes sense, that flows cohesively and is consistent from start to finish.

    SHARING YOUR MOOD BOARDS
I would love it if after creating your mood boards, you would share photos of them on socials, either via your stories tagging @paradisehunter or send them to me as a DM if you are wanting to keep things under wraps...it would be so awesome to see the progress you have made and your chosen wedding themes, styles and vibe.
