I have to say that Dr. Alex is one of the all-time Love Island faves so I was so really pleased to welcome him onto the show as my guest this week.
We had a great chinwag including chats about shit London GUINNESS, how he’s honouring his brother’s memory and, *of course*, there was plenty of Love Island goss, too!

Jacqui Hurley, the new presenter of rugby on RTÉ TV and all-round sports journalist boss, is my guest on the podcast this week. In a very honest chat, she spoke to me about why she almost quit RTÉ after missing out on her dream presenter job, how she and her family had to rebuild their lives after the tragic death of her younger brother and that one phrase that sets everyone off in the Whatsapp group.

*Pinch me* but... Michael Bublé, yes the Michael Bublé(!), dropped into for a chat on the pod this week.
We met in a five star Dublin hotel and had a fecking great chat about so many things including... punching above his weight with his beautiful wife Luisana, how he lived out his very own Julia Roberts 'Pretty Woman' moment and he also gave us arguably the *best* worst joke we've heard on the pod so far.

I was delighted, and also, I'm not gonna lie, a little stunned that An Taoiseach, yes the leader of the country, Micheál Martin is my guest on the podcast this week! We chatted about many things including, of course, his son, Micheál Aodh, being a bit of a looker; why he’s stone mad for sea swimming; and also, because I couldn't have him sitting in front of me and not ask, what he's going to do to fix the housing crisis in Ireland. The chat with the Taoiseach was recorded in February, before Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

I was delighted to welcome Irish paralympic gold medalist and Dancing With The Stars goddess, Ellen Keane, onto the podcast this week. It was a *very* lively chat, we shot the breeze about her Brazilian thong awkwardness at the age of twelve, and, OH MY GOD, the *funniest* jacuzzi story you will ever hear. She also spoke to about learning to cope with her depression and the lessons she has learned about managing her mental health. It was such a good conversation with a fantastic lady.

We've been trying to line this up for a *long* time, so I was delighted to finally welcome multi-award winning actor and all-round Irish acting royalty, Amy Huberman, into studio as my guest on the podcast this week.
We chatted about why a plane to New Zealand isn’t a great place to get food poisoning; how, even in illness, her dad loves to laugh; and... the first shift with Brian. It's a classic!

I was so excited to meet Sunday World crime journalist, Nicola Tallant, the creator of one of my *favourite* podcasts of 2021 - the phenomenal The Witness: In His Own Words. In a really interesting conversation full of hair-raising insights on the crime world in Ireland, we chatted about how Veronica Guerin’s death changed everything, why Irish people are funding a new generation of homegrown Cocaine billionaires and, also, a hilarious story about exploding Trócaire boxes (!). You *have* to the hear it!

Amazing to have me oul pal, Marty Guilfoyle as my next guest on The Laughs Of Your Life podcast. We covered LOTS… reminisced on the Spin days (of course), he described what it’s like to experience the full force of a social media pile-on (spoiler: it’s not at all fun) and he explained the gas reason why he’s given up being a vegetarian. A chat with Marto is always good for the soul.

Our first guest this season is the Bea-rilliant… Aisling Bea. Aisling has been on my dream guest list since the get go! Chatting to her was like chatting to an old school pal. We covered…growing up in Kildare, the period/boob train (it’ll all make sense 🚂) and refusing to learn the “men speak before women” rule in comedy.

James Kavanagh is best known for being so hilarious and so entertaining online. But over the past few years we’ve seen a different side to James. He loves spending time in the kitchen and created his brand Currabinny with his boyfriend William. Recently James announced he would be moving to Cork next year so today we chat about his decision to move out of Dublin, the creation of his food truck and his focus on self care. He speaks about his glorious bedtime routine the way he learned to deal with his panic attacks and an act of kindness that he will never ever forget.

Sarah Grace was attacked in her own home by a stranger as she slept in 2019. This man had broken into her home and was jailed for 10 years for the attack. Sarah bravely decided to share her story in order to call for change in the Irish courts system so she could help future survivors. Sarah speaks to me today about the impact that night had on her life and how she rebuilt her life. She is SO INSPIRING!!! I am in awe of her and feel so honoured to have spoken to her on The Good Glow. Although we do not get into the specific details of the night, I will leave a trigger warning here. If you are affected by this story you can call the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre on 1 800 77 8888

Dave Gilna was on his J1 in Boston, when he was struck by lightening in a bolt from the blue. This is when a lightening bolt comes from a clear sky. It was a sunny, clear day in Boston when Dave’s life changed forever. Today he brings us on that journey. His heart stopped for over two minutes that day, and he talks about the madness that unfolded in that American hospital. Now a successful playwright, actor, writer and producer Dave has so many lessons on this podcast about how we can turn down the external volume and believe in ourselves.
