  • On this episode of The Refined and Rowdy Show, Mandie and Danae sit down to discuss things they've learned in their 20's. As they both turned 30 this year, it's only fitting to reveal a few things that's stuck with them from the previous decade. Before getting into their list of things they've learned, they open the episode with letting listeners know the meaning of "The Clap." Danae gives a very detailed description of what she learned back during high school In Alabama. Next, they give their weekly recap which consisted of the two of them going to a show at Zanies. This brings up the news that Danae has sold out all 6 of her comedy shows. As they discussing the shows and meet and greets, Danae notices the way Mandie says "lawyer" and immediately compares the difference in how they say the word. This leads to Danae suggesting a game of copycat where Mandie is to repeat exactly what Danae says in the same accent. This works out for a little bit but Mandie then says "booty hole" instead of "booty" when trying to copy Danae's statement. This interaction is the transition to the main topic of today's episode which is "Things Learned In Our 20s." They get into their list of things they've learned which includes: sleeping is really important, lightening up and not being so stressed, not trying to keep up by wanting luxury items and a few others. After discussions about each topic, Danae goes into what she misses about the 90s which includes a few thing such as: Pizza Hut (the original one with a buffet, getting a free Coke from the concession stands after a softball win, smoking inside of restaurants mainly Cracker Barrel, ding dong ditch and others. They then go into stories from when they were younger which include the nickel tap game, Danae taking cat poop and putting it in a purse and placing that by the road in order to watch people reactions to finding the bag, doing the cat poop joke at Wal-Mart and a few other hilarious stories. After a little more horse talk, Danae announces her upcoming comedy tour! She lets the audience know that she will have 6 shows in 3 different states.
