Cameron Hooker sieppasi nuoren Colleen Stanin, kun tämä oli liftaamassa ystävänsä luokse. Seitsemän vuotta kestäneen vankeuden aikana Colleen vietti suurimman osan päivistään erilaisissa laatikoissa, joista hän pääsi vapaaksi vain hetkiksi kerrallaan. Koko vankeutensa ajan Colleen luuli, että “Yhtiö” -niminen yritys tarkkaili häntä ja surmaisi hänet heti, jos hän yrittäisi karata.

Kaksi miestä murtautui yön pimeydessä Petitin perheen kotiin Cheshiren kaupungissa Yhdysvalloissa. 5-vuotiaan Haleigh Cummingsin 17-vuotias äitipuoli Misty Croslin ilmoitti Haleighn kadonneeksi keskellä yötä vuonna 2008, sanoen että tyttö oli yhtäkkiä hävinnyt perheen asuntoautosta. Vuosien aikana tapauksen ympärillä on ollut muutamia erilaisia käänteitä ja monet tapaukseen mahdollisesti sekaantuneet ovat saaneet vankilatuomioita eri rikoksista. Silti Haleighn kohtalo on edelleen avoin, eikä kenelläkään ole täyttä varmuutta edes siitä, mistä ja milloin Haleigh todella katosi.

Graeme Burtonin elämä ajautui jo nuorena väärille raiteille. Ampuja, työvuorostaan juuri kotiutunut poliisi Amber Guyger, sanoi että oli luullut tulleensa omaan kotiinsa ja uskoi Bothamin olevan murtovaras. Toukokuisena iltana vuonna 1983, Diane Downs saapui kolmen pienen lapsensa kanssa oregonilaisen sairaalan ensiapuun ja kertoi, että häntä ja hänen lapsiaan on ammuttu. Dianen käytös herätti jo sairaalassa ihmetystä ja poliisien oli pakko alkaa tutkia sitä mahdollisuutta, että Diane oli se, joka oli ampunut lapsiaan ja itseään.

Kun poliisit keskellä yötä lokakuussa 2018 saapuivat oudon hätäpuhelun jälkeen Clossin perheen kotiin Barronin kaupungissa, heitä odotti brutaali näky - joku oli ampunut perheen vanhemmat ja siepannut 13-vuotiaan Jaymen mukaansa. Tapaus pysyi täytenä mysteerinä, kunnes 88 päivää myöhemmin Jaymen kohtalo selvisi ja syyllinen otettiin kiinni.
