  • Spiritual formation is not a new term by any means, but it is one that we're hearing more often these days. A wide range of things point to growing in Christlikeness, so we invited Eunice Chung on the podcast to talk about how art and the Christian imagination, as well as some of the spiritual disciplines, point to growing in Christlikeness.

  • On Fridays in April, we're dropping an extra episode to make sure you know about some other Lifeway podcasts that we think you would enjoy. Today, we're sharing an episode of The Glass House with Ben and Lynley Mandrell talking with Nicole Zasowski.

Have you ever asked your spouse a simple question, like, "whats for dinner?" and all of a sudden they're making a snarky comment back to you? Have you ever found yourself responding out of irritation and frustration when your spouse or kids simply ask you a question? On today's show Nicole Zasowski describes to us what happens when we are operating in our pain cycle, how we can regulate our emotions, and why the simplest of questions can push us over the edge.

Nicole Zasowski is a marriage and family therapist outside of New York City. She is an author of Lost to Found and What If It's Wonderful, along with being a full time mom and wife. She also has a Bible Study resource coming soon through Lifeway!

    ABOUT KRISTI MCLELLAND
Kristi McLelland is a speaker, teacher, and college professor. Since completing her Masters of Arts in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, she has dedicated her life to discipleship, to teaching people how to study the Bible for themselves, and to writing about how God is better than we ever knew by explaining the Bible through a Middle Eastern lens. Her great desire for people to truly experience the love of God birthed a ministry in which she leads biblical study trips to Israel, Turkey, Greece, and Italy.

  • On Fridays in April, we're dropping an extra episode to make sure you know about some other Lifeway podcasts that we think you would enjoy. Today, we're sharing an episode of His Glory, Her Good, hosted by Amanda Mejias and Corinne Allen, where they talk about fighting shame with special guest "Aunt P."

Whether dealing with our own shame or helping teen girls fight shame in their lives, this is a topic that can't be avoided when leading in student ministry. In this episode with Aunt P, they talk about how to know the difference between shame and conviction from the Holy Spirit. Aunt P also shares the danger of not dealing with our own shame, as well as provides tools to help our girls recognize, talk about, and fight shame.
