On this episode of AI: Decodes the System, host Amber Ivey (AI) decodes the powerful AI tool ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer).
Microsoft announces new multibillion-dollar investment in ChatGPT-maker OpenAI
ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI that has been trained on a massive dataset of text, allowing it to generate human-like responses to a wide range of prompts. AI talks about the benefits of ChatGPT such as its ability to generate high-quality, human-like text, making it perfect for tasks such as customer service and content creation, its ability to process and summarize large amounts of data, and its easy integration into a variety of applications.
She also mentions the disadvantages of ChatGPT such as the risk of it being used to generate fake or misleading content, the need for human oversight to ensure accuracy and ethics, and the fact that it may contain biases that reflect those in the dataset. AI explains how to use ChatGPT by visiting the OpenAI website and trying out the interactive demo or integrating the API into own applications.
She concludes by highlighting the potential of ChatGPT to revolutionize industries such as customer service, content creation, healthcare, and education, and encourages listeners to try out the technology for themselves.

In this week's episode, I am posting a conversation I had on the new podcast Conversate with Akeem D. Earle about the importance of lawyers keeping up with technology to ensure that people have access to justice. This conversation gets live and in living color (if you don't get it, you don't get it) as I speak my mind and thoughts on many different topics. I decided to post this episode on MLK Jr. Day because the advancements in technology have brought about new challenges and opportunities for realizing Dr. King's vision of a just and equal society. For example, there have been a lot of conversations about banning ChatGPT in schools. At the same time, the "world's first robot lawyer" powered by artificial intelligence is helping a person who doesn't have a lawyer represent themselves in a traffic case. (Check out DoNotPay for more information.) Technology is pivotal in helping improve access to justice, and sadly, many lawyers need to catch up in this area. Check out this episode as we discuss why I chose not to practice law, the future of AI in the courtroom, the importance of rest in between positions and more!

On this episode of AI: Decodes the System, Dr. Rama Chellappa, author of Can We Trust AI?, and AI decode how Dr. Chellappa got involved in artificial intelligence (AI) research and why he decided to write a book on if we can trust AI? During the conversation, Dr. Chellappa breaks down AI and how, contrary to popular belief, the technology has been around for over 60 years and is ready to start receiving social security. Dr. Chellappa talks about how we work with AI today, will work with the technology in the future, and why we all need to understand how to work with AI just like we interact with the internet and cell phones. He also discussed the importance of responsible AI and training algorithms to be less biased. One of my favorite insights from the conversation is Dr. Chellappa's moonshot idea that classrooms should have one physical teacher and thirty virtual teachers. Can we trust AI? Check out the episode.

On this episode of AI: Decodes the System, AI does a solo episode where she decodes the topic of AI artist. You may have heard a lot of buzz around Lensa and Dall-e and the rise of AI artist. If you want AI to decode a topic, please send an email to [email protected].
A lot of you have been using the Lensa app or Dall-e and are a little interested in learning more about AI artists. So, I wanted to do a quick episode to discuss the pros, cons, and privacy concerns of what folks call AI artists. So here we go. Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionize the field of art, opening up new possibilities for creation and expression. However, the use of AI in the arts also raises a number of important questions and concerns. Here are some of the pros and cons of an AI artist:
Pros:
AI artists can create unique and original works that may not be possible with traditional methods. For example, an AI artist may be able to generate completely new styles or forms of art that have never been seen before.AI artists can create art faster and more efficiently than human artists. This can be especially useful for projects that require a large amount of art to be produced in a short amount of time, such as video games or animated films.AI artists can create art that is more consistent and accurate than human artists. For example, an AI artist may be able to generate realistic images or animations with greater consistency than a human artist, who may be prone to mistakes or variations in quality.Cons:
AI artists may lack the human touch and emotional depth that many people value in art. Some people argue that art is a deeply personal and human experience, and that works created by AI may lack the emotional depth and meaning that human artists are able to convey.AI artists may replace or compete with human artists, leading to job loss and financial hardship for some artists. While AI artists may be able to create art more efficiently and cheaply than human artists, this could lead to a reduction in demand for human artists and potentially harm their livelihoods. There are also concerns about the ethical implications of AI artists, such as the potential for AI to replicate or steal the work of human artists without proper attribution or compensation.Overall, the use of AI in the arts has the potential to bring about significant advances and new possibilities, but it also raises a number of important questions and concerns that need to be carefully considered. She is also one of the people behind WallVR- a pioneering experience where you can explore the wall and stand at the border itself. On this episode of AI: Decodes the System, AI does a solo episode where she decodes the topic of NFTs. If you want AI to decode a topic, please send an email to [email protected].
What is an NFT? NFT stands for nonfungible token. Simply put, it is a unique digital asset that cannot be replaced by another identical asset. This makes them perfect for representing unique items, such as collectibles or digital art. NFTs are created on blockchain platforms like Ethereum and EOS. These platforms allow developers to create decentralized applications (dApps) that use NFTs. So why should you care about NFTs? Here are three reasons:
1. NFTs are immutable, meaning they cannot be counterfeit or altered. This makes them much more secure than traditional assets like fiat currency or even gold.
2. NFTs are transferrable and can be easily bought, sold, or traded. This makes them very liquid and gives them the potential to become a new type of currency.
3. NFTs are programmable, meaning they can be used to represent anything from land ownership to loyalty points. This gives them a lot of potential applications that we have only just begun to explore.
So there you have it! NFTs are a new type of asset with a lot of potential. Keep an eye on this space, as NFTs are sure to revolutionize the way we interact with digital assets.
