Ben Andrews AKA Farmer Ben, is a full-time farmer living and working on the family farm in Herefordshire. Growing up Ben often felt like the only gay in the village, but fortunately one poorly hidden attitude magazine later he managed to get an insight in to a world beyond the girl in the field next door. After 18 months in London, Ben happily settled back to the farm; and don't let the occasional thirst trap by the tractor fool you, life on the farm isn't what you might expect (or is that, hope...)

This week we are joined by LGBTQ+ activist Jonathan Blake, in a conversation which may be the most important so far on this podcast - One of remembering the times of the AIDS epidemic, as told by Jonathan who was one of the UK's first people to be diagnosed with HIV, and who went on to defy the prognosis he was given of 3-9 months to live. Jonathan now 75, sits down with us and reflects on why it might be he survived, the people he loved and lost, and the choices he made - Most importantly perhaps being the one to choose life.

Jack Guinness is the author of The Queer Bible and host of the Queerphoria podcast. After graduating from Cambridge Uni, Jack went in to modelling, featuring in campaigns for brands such as L'Oreal, Dunhill and D&G. In this episode we revisit Jack's challenging time at university, and how not being open about your sexuality in these earlier years can seriously impact your health and relationships. We discuss how some gay men don't particularly like the word queer; Jack's shift from pursuing opportunities based on fame and ego to amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, and how Jack has always strived to have fun and take risks, as he admittedly never wanted a boring life.

Academy Award-winning film producer Iain Canning, co-founder of production company See-Saw Films, has produced movies and television shows such as The Kings Speech, Lion, Shame and Netflix's Heartstopper. He describes receiving his Oscar from Steven Spielberg at age 31, as a total out of body experience, and potentially one of the gayest moments of his life. More so by the Oscar's organisers asking them to regroup on stage and sing a rendition of Judy Garland's 'Over The Rainbow'. Iain is a champion of diverse story-telling and thinks we best focus our energy on seeing gay actors in straight roles, rather than the other way round.
