    What's on our bench: 🎶

Dan set up his Shopify shop with braden's help, shipped out a bunch of tables, re-did his desk space / background.

Braden is prepping for the craft fair, making cribbage boards, building some house furniture, thinking about doing permanent christmas lights, accidentally bought a bunch of internet domains lol

Pete built a fire pit over the weekend and filmed it for a youtube video that is already in the timeline for editing! He may have also had an allergic reaction to burning exotics, dealing with some overseas brands, but having a super productive week prepping for the craft fair next week!

Now a non maker camp question. I’m using more and more the rotary tool on my laser to make my turned design a bit more original. I use the rotary tool that is sold for the Ortur laser and it works great for small design but I also want to cut into larger and heavier pieces and the chuck doens’t really hold well enough to my taste.

Do you know of a brand that offer a better rotary tool ?

    Whats on our bench: 🎶

Dan sold his dust collector and installed a new unit in its place, FINALLY shipped the 213-day-overdue bed frame, ruined his hot end on his 2d printer, and he's down to only 2 overdue orders (down from 48).

Braden has been putting in work in the shop all week, he's officiating a wedding in Denver, got a new track saw, needs to make a toe kick for the kitchen island build before Maker's Camp and he's planning for his big craft fair.

Pete wrapped up a big engraving job, made a bunch of large live edge serving boards, invented a tool to make juice grooves easier, and taking a fusion refresher.

So I know you guys like it raw but I’ve been making raw steel frames and wood pieces for 20 years. I have used a rattle can of clear from Rust-Oleum with great success. Another tip I was given from a rat rod shop was brush on Floods Penetrol. The penetrol adheres to dirt and everything so if the steel isn’t perfectly clean it will still stick. I had it on stool that I made for my brewery and they held up to abuse and cleaning for over 5 years no issues. Cheers guys.

What are the pros and cons of a country based on religious belief ? Alright byeee

Just kidding ! I just thought I hadn’t ask anything shocking in a while. By the way people remember, it’s just a joke, don’t go up your high saw horses.

I actually have a question. I have done a lot of fair this past year and I found that products layout can really affect the look and sale of a stand. I have like 6 fair planned for December and I don’t know to do for my product placement.

Do you test layouts in your shop before or just wing it ? And do you generally prefer to spread all types of products on the tables or do you prefer to keep everything together ?

    Questions:

Dan can you give me your exact dimensions, material, and keywords for the C tables and slide tables? k thanks!

    Sarah Goldstein

    Rosie's Woodshop

These questions all pertain to in person craft shows.

    1. So last year I made as much as I could, but didn't have my own shop so I bought things wholesale from some friends and sold them. They sold really well and I'm debating to do them again. What are your thoughts?

    2. Do I go ham and make a ton of pens or learn something new with my new machines? I only have maybe an hour through monday-friday each day and Saturday to do stuff.

    3. Do I have many diverse items with low count or a lot of the same things for craft shows with high count?

    4. Should I premake ornaments with what I think they should say or just have samples and let people pick what they want (but then they are waiting around for it to laser). I can still add customizations.

    5. I over did the craft shows last year and got burnt out and took off January and February, how do I avoid that? I don't think I'm going to sign up for as many shows but I do enjoy them.

I'm not talking about regular stuff, like a toothbrush or an extra pair of undies incase of an accident. For example, I always pack swim trunks nomatter what time of year or where i'm going. Just in case theres a lake around or a pool we can break into. Or Something like Braden's security Blanky. Something that everyone doesnt always pack. What's a "Must Pack" for you guys?
