A situationship is never the end goal. I've never seen one end up in marriage, or even a relationship for that matter. It's time to put on the slippers of courage and run! Join Murna and her guest on this episode where they discuss navigating romantic relationships as young Christians. Recording this episode was so chaotic but it finally worked out in the end.🤣 Enjoy!!!!

Join Murna and her very first guest, Hycent (who also happens to be one of her best friends) as they talk about their friendship, navigating emotionally charged conversations, and when they knew it was time to let go of some friends that weren’t doing them any good. It’s a hilarious, laughter-filled episode packed with stories and lessons everyone should hear.

We all start the year with goals we'd like to achieve and if we're being honest, number one on the list is always 'building my relationship with a God this year.' Yes or No?
Well, it's one thing to desire a deeper level of intimacy with Jesus, but how exactly do you go about that? what structures and steps have you put in place to help you grow?
Today's episode focuses primarily on helping you actually grow. I hope you love it just as much as I loved making it.
Let me know what you think :) -
What’s the big deal about music? I know I used to ask this question a lot. Why should the music we listen to as Christians matter? And not just music, but the content we consume in general. Why is it such a big deal? I’m already saved, so why can’t I just listen to and watch whatever I want, right? In today’s episode, we talked about why music is important and why we should be conscious of the music we listen to and the content we consume as believers. It was really fun making this episode and trust me to fumble over words every two seconds💀 Let me get your feedback! You can send in a voice message that may be featured in the next episode ( if you want) or reach out to me on Instagram @audienceofone.pod . To send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/audience-of-one/message And a video I think will also help drive home the point. I really liked it and I think you will too: ‘Should Christians listen to Secular Music?’ by Hannah Williamson https://youtu.be/WPrEBe-oXzk

It’s very easy to lose focus and get caught up in what the world says about us and forget what God has said about us. In this episode, it’s really just a reminder and encouragement that your past doesn’t define you. What other people are saying about you cannot affect what God will do in your life if you refuse to accept what they say. It’s time to let go of the things holding you back, and let God do His thing in your life.

We talk about salvation all the time but what does it really mean to be saved and how does it happen? You are saved by grace, through faith. Not works, lest any man should boast’. That’s the truth about salvation. So many people have a lot of misconceptions on what salvation really is about. If you don’t know what you have received, how can you be confident in it? How can you be bold about who you are in Christ if you don’t really know what that means? In this episode, we talked about what salvation is and is not and what the word of God has to say about it. It’s not about whether or not you wear jewelry (when I heard this one I was shocked💀) or not. It’s a matter of understanding the grace God has given us and believing in that demonstration of grace. No be me wey talk am, na so e dey for Bible. (it’s not me who said it, that’s what’s written in the Bible.)

I really hated it when people would make it seem like because I was young I didn’t matter and what I thought didn’t count. I let people look down on me and by extension, started looking down on myself and that made me limit myself.
Today we’re talking about how buying into that narrative is complete rubbish. Yes, I said it’s rubbish. We’re focusing on 1 Timothy 4:12 which encourages us not to let other people look down on us because we’re young, but to step up and be examples to these people with our lives.
BTW: me and English were in a struggle while I was recording this episode so whatever you hear, you take like that 💀 -
Welcome to Audience of One! We’re going to be digging deep into what it means to live for Christ as a young person in today’s world and answering questions that have been on a lot of minds. Who said this was going to be boring?
