In this episode my friend, colleague and occasional co-host Laura Froyen and I answer your parenting questions but we have another person with us, Jen, who brings her incredible skillset of incorporating AI into the mix. Hear how ChatGPT answers the same questions after we go first.
DISCLAIMER: AI can be a helpful parenting ally, offering insights, information, and suggestions across various parenting topics. Yet, it lacks emotional understanding and the context of your family's unique dynamics. So, while AI can assist, remember to rely on your instincts and consider your child's individual needs when making parenting choices.

It's hard to make friends as an adult and yet the value of friendships in our life is vital. Relationship expert Esther Perel says that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. Unlike other relationships, we choose our friends. One of the 5 regrets of the dying according to Bronnie Ware IS about friends: “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.” Friends enrich our lives, they nourish us, and remind us of who we are among other things. A returning guest Kristy Lauricella has some good advice about making and keeping friends. We both share a current friendship issue that we are dealing with. She suspects I might have fear for not wanting to confront a friend, while I question certain things. The value of friendships in our life The role of attachment and how it affects our friendships Old friends vs new ones What makes a good friend? What qualities we value in friendships What do you think of the idea of updating our friendships? Handling conflicts in friendships When and how friendships end And more An honest, thought-provoking and self-disclosing episode.

Exploring the idea of radical aceptance with a licensed psychologist, author, and host of the Think Act Be podcast Seth Gillihan.
Life will bring many challenges, death of a loved one, a breakup, a health diagnosis, a sudden change in your plans, a missed opportunity.
When we let go of resistance, we lessen our suffering. When we accept things as they are, with mindful awareness and open heartedness, we find ease, comfort, flow and peace. We need to learn how to identify when it’s time to persist and when it’s time to accept.

Choosing to parent differently than your parents is not easy. Today’s episode is a supportive, gentle, uplifting conversation to remind you to continue staying on the path of conscious parenting. Hunter Clarke-Fields, host of the Mindful Mama podcast, author and friend returns to the show again to talk about how you can ditch the unrealistic expectations of perfect parenting, bring intentionality to your communication, practice non-reactivity, restraint and emotion regulation.
Parenting without punishments not only works but it pays incredible dividends in the long-run. We can totally attest to this as parents of teenagers.
We share practical advice on giving yourself credit, allowing goodness to come in, dealing with feelings of unworthiness, not believing in your thoughts, staying present and more.
