Today we're venturing into the B-movie vault to tackle what may well be my favorite Star Wars ripoff in Luigi Cozzi's wildly entertaining Starcrash! This one's got Joe Spinell as a Darth Vader wannabe, Christopher Plummer as the Emperor, The Hoff in one of his earliest roles, and the inimitable Caroline Munro traversing space in a bikini years before Leia would don one on Jabba's barge! This one is a stone cold cult classic.

Released in 1986, and based off a student script from Gregory Widen, this tale of sword fighting immortals competing for the ultimate prize is like a big budget music video (complete with an iconic score from Queen!) and features Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown in some of their most unforgettable roles.
