A remote episode but that wont stop us talking about the SHOW Ferrari put on for Formula 1 fans in Monza this past weekend. A track known for speed, all eyes were on the Championship leaders, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Little did the fans know that Ferrari would show up with the strategy needed to win on a track that seemed to have the entire grid guessing! Tune into this episode of Basement Brakes as we nestle down into this past weekend's Formula 1 race at the Temple of Speed!!

Two races this weekend and two interesting Championship fights!
In F1 we saw Lando Norris driving just under the level that we were used to before the break. With 10 races left heading into this weekend Lando came out SWINGING and looked like a completely reset driver. Red Bull have still not answered the quick McLaren!!
Over in IndyCar we have a 3-way championship fight and headed into this past weekend with four races left. With Alex Palou leading the Championship and Will Power & Colton Herta chasing behind the only way to make this interesting is... 3 ovals to end the year??
Tune into this episode of Basement Brakes as Foster and Stephen get into F1 at Zandvoort, IndyCar in Portland, and even talk about upgrading our very own Simulator!

We're back from Summer Break and INDYCAR kicked off their last races in St. Louis!! Tune into this episode of Basement Brakes as Foster and Stephen talk about all their favorite moments from the 2024 Bommarito Automotive Group 500!!

Another episode of Basement Brakes and this past weekend was one of the most anticipated tracks of the Formula 1 calendar, SPA!!! With some pre-race penalties we knew that Max Verstappen would have to pass half the grid to see the podium. We also knew Mercedes came bearing some (what they thought were) upgrades heading into the weekend. What we didn't know was the show we weren't prepared for that went down to the WIRE (and possibly a little bit after the wire lol)
Tune into our last race review before the summer break!! And don't worry, we'll be posting weekly during the break so we don't go crazy without races to cover.

Well well well we knew this weekend was going to have some action in store for both INDYCAR and Formula 1... We didn't think a team would dominate both races this handedly!! In this episode we talk about INDYCAR in Toronto and Formula 1 in Hungary but dial in on how the winning teams of the weekend handled their 1-2 finishes a bit differently, creating much different reactions from the drivers.
Tune in!!

In this very special episode of Basement Brakes we had the opportunity to interview JACE DENMARK!! Jace is currently competing in the USF Pro 2000 Championship which is set up to eventually breed Indy NXT drivers. With a history of competing at a high level, Jace took the time to answer questions beginning with his beginnings, and eventually getting into some of his best competitions throughout his career. Not only is Jace competing in USF Pro 2000 currently, but his goals are forward looking, eyeing up a seat in Indy NXT in the coming future.
Jace is surely a talent and at just 19 years of age, shows maturity and a level-headedness beyond his years. We greatly appreciated the time he took to record this, and our hope is that this video puts him on the radar of anyone watching for young talent coming onto the scene of Indy Car.
Once again, a huge thank you to Jace, as we are very new to the interview processes. For viewers, we hope that we are able to give you an inside look into this young man's career as he readies himself to take the next leap.

Our first European Grand Prix of 2024 is under our belts and boy did it offer a show!! As mentioned in our last episode, Imola was not raced last year due to some unfortunate flooding of the area. This year however, Imola offered a tricky track that required all drivers to be on their A-game to come home with points. As you'll hear in this episode, one of our biggest takeaways from this weekend is it seems the top-three cars are actually as close as we were hoping in terms of qualifying speed AND race pace!! After highlighting the Formula 1 Grand Prix Weekend, we also take some time to reflect on our watching of the Formula 2 Races, also taking place at Imola. Tune into this episode as we cover all of the moments that had us at the edge of our seat during our first European Grand Prix weekend of 2024!

Imola, it has been sometime since Formula 1 has last raced there (not too long and for a good excuse last year of course). This weekend comes just two after the hangover of a new race winner in Lando Norris at Miami. In this episode, Foster covers some track facts that are a bit more interesting now that we are at some good historical European races, and also we touch on the significance around the weekend. This weekend is being recognized as the 30th anniversary of some terrible crashes by Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna, occurring just a day from one and other. This gives us all a friendly reminder of the danger of the sport but also the great work that has been done to keep our drivers safe since those horrible accidents. After talking about that, we get into our weekend predictions along with everything we're looking out for heading into another race weekend filled with upgrades to cars! Lastly, we get into our F1 Fantasy duel as we head into the next quarter of the season with JUST 50 points separating our two teams. Tune in!!
