Ben's Business Podcast Interviewing Bob Burg Author of The Go-Giver Summary of this interview: Bob Burg and I discussed the importance of being a Go-Giver in business and how it can lead to success. We also talked about effective communication in sales meetings and the importance of understanding individual needs to personalise the sales process. Bob Burg emphasises the need to overcome the anti-prosperity mindset in order to improve one's ability to receive. Bob Burg shares his background as a former salesperson and how he became a successful speaker and author. We delved into Burg's purpose and mission in bringing value to the world and earning a living doing something he loves, and how his personal development journey led him to write books that help people shift their mindset from getting to giving. We also discuss the benefits of learning from other people's experience (OPE) and wisdom (OPW), and how it can be a shortcut to success. I shared my initial resistance to reading “The Go-Giver” book and asked Bob Burg for tips on generating referrals and building relationships. Bob shares three tips for generating referrals: 1. Building relationships. 2. Creating an environment for referrals. 3. Making it easy for others to refer business to you. He emphasises the importance of investing time in building relationships and suggests using contact management tools but not as a replacement of you.

Author Cameron Herold , co-author of the brilliant book Miracle Morning For Entrepreneurs has the perfect exercise for you:
1️⃣Write a list of everything you do in your business.
2️⃣ Rank your level of skill for each task (Incompetent, Competent, Exellent or Unique Talent.)
3️⃣ Put a dollar value for each task. Imagine what you would pay someone who only did that single task day in and day out. What would you pay them?
4️⃣ Delegate all that you are Incompetent or competent at, and all minimum wage task.
This should free up tons of time for you to focus on high ticket, high impact work.
