  • Welcome to the BeyondX Podcast! In this week’s episode of BeyondHealth our guest was Dr. Grace Hameister, Founder and CEO of FoodFIXR.

    In the first part of our discussion we spoke about gut health, the microbiome and the best ways to ensure a healthy and functioning gut. We also touched on foods that can help improve athletic performance, food as medicine, and an overview of what functional medicine is, and its connection to food.

    In the second part of our discussion we discussed FoodFIXR, the health-tech startup Dr. grace has founded, as well a brief overview of intermittent fasting and fad diets in general. We then discussed exciting technologies and tools like Cold Laser Therapy, Blood Flow Restriction– or BFR – Bands, Nitric Oxide and more.

    Since 1999 Dr. Grace Hameister has extensive experience in the delivery of private, concierge medicine to elite athletes, executives, and entertainers. With emphasis on accelerated tissue repair, nutrition, and high-tech therapeutic devices to facilitate rapid healing, she has cultivated a unique and effective set of skills to serve the private, public and corporate sectors.

    She holds a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic, and is a member of the American Academy of Private Physicians.

  • Welcome to the BeyondX Podcast! In this week’s episode of BeyondSustainability our guest was Jeffrey Beyer, Founder and Managing Director of Zest Associates

    In the first part of our discussion, we unpacked the importance of Decarbonization, and went over one of the key enablers for the transition to low-carbon resources; finance. We expanded on Green Financing Mechanisms, the Public Sector’s role in Financing Sustainable Projects, retail banking and Financial Sector’s role in Green Financing, and touched on reducing energy consumption for buildings, and the industrial sector.

    Jeffrey Beyer is the Founder and Managing Director of Zest Associates, a UAE-based sustainability consultancy focused on business and government strategy, cleantech innovation, and green finance.

    Jeffrey has launched innovation programs for utilities like the UK’s National Grid, and multilaterals like the World Bank and International Climate Fund. He has helped establish national Centres of Excellence for renewables and energy efficiency, including the UK Offshore Wind Innovation Hub, National Renewable Energy Catapult and the South African Private Sector Energy Efficiency Program. He has authored landmark studies on financing a green transition in the Middle East and accelerating the clean hydrogen industry in the UAE, and was instrumental in founding the UK's first cleantech Venture Capital fund as public-private partnership, now capitalized with £100 million.

  • Welcome to the BeyondX Podcast! In this week’s episode of BeyondCities our guest was Dr. Giancarlo Mangone, Principal at Wicked Solutions, and a Senior Consultant to the United Nations.

    In the first half of our discussion, we unwrapped existing cities, and spoke on the advantages of a regional approach to masterplanning, the impact and importance of natural integration, the impact of foreign investments on housing markets, the importance of promoting affordable housing and the shortcomings of the modern suburban ecosystem.

    In the second half of our discussion, we explored the future of cities, and how urban environments can be built with nature at their core, rather than the reverse. Dr. Mangone previously founded ADNOC's masterplanning department, and led the strategic planning and implementation of their built assets, including the core economic region of the UAE, in ways that drive innovative and resilient business development, win-win investments, and foster world class livability and sustainability.
