This week on the Build a Vibrant Culture Podcast, Nicole interviews Jonathan Zur. Jonathan is President & CEO of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC), an organization that works with schools, business, and communities to achieve success through inclusion. An experienced facilitator and consultant on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Jonathan was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Commonwealth Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, formed in the aftermath of the tragedy in Charlottesville in August 2017. In 2016, he was a speaker at the inaugural White House Summit on Diversity and Inclusion in Government. Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Richmond, and he received a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.

Board papers outline key information on the discussion points, decisions and actions required for a board meeting. In essence board papers can either gain you the support you need from your board or derail you plans altogether. Government entities, non-profits and some businesses utilize a board for proper governance of the organization. Governance is the process of governing or overseeing an organization. It can include the institutions, processes, and practices that are used to make decisions and regulate issues of common concern.
The leadership and employees of the organization use board papers to convince, persuade, inform and create awareness for the board to make decisions. Essentially, if the board papers are excellent you can gain support, move forward quickly, and create excitement for the vision. Davina's books help leaders create superior board papers!

ADKAR is a change management model that focuses on guiding individuals through the change process. The acronym stands for:
