The Weekend Australian Magazine on Saturday will include a feature on Australia's top country towns - and Griffith in New South Wales has been named on the list.
To determine the list, The Australian have done a deep dive into the Census data and created a criteria for what they consider Australia's best. Finalist towns have:
above average incomebelow average unemployment ratedemographic diversity - meaning a healthy mix of young and oldeconomic diversity - meaning not reliant on a single industrymore than 2,000 but less than 30,000 residentsThere are 7 towns named, one in each of the states and Griffith made the top of the list for NSW!
