A good ol inside scoop of what happens before harvest, an update of what's goin with this vintage, and christ I'm so tired I don't have the effort for this description. SIGN UP AT PATREON.COM/CORKTAINT FOR BONUS CONTENT Thanks Everybody

We discuss Residual Sugar AKA RS in wine, its merits, function and properties, explain Brix and the Oechsle scale, and loads of other fascinating stuff. Also I said something about Auslese indicating botrytis - that is incorrect. Interestingly enough, none of the tiers of the Pradikat system indicate botrytis, so in theory a TBA could be absent of any. Check out out patreon at Patreon.com/CorkTaint for incredible bonus content. Thanks everybody

Speaking of our favorite producers, check out Patreon.com/CorkTaint for an exclusive episode about a recent vertical tasting of Eyrie's South Block bottling, the most storied wine in Oregon! It's quite good check it out

Give it a listen, please go seek out their wines and give them plenty of air (much more than you normally would).

For something a bit different this week, Read Spear and Carlos Mendez Blas of Tso'ok Rum join us to talk about an amazing spirit that conveys terroir unlike anything else. This isn't regular rum made from molasses, it's made from fresh sugar cane juice. It's fascinating stuff that doesn't resemble anything we've had before! Give the episode a listen and go find a bottle! For more information, check out https://www.tsookrum.com/ and https://www.realmezcal.com/
