If there was a ranking of greatest fears I think stalking would be missed by many people. Although just the sheer mention of a person following your every move is enough to send a chill down your spine. And you would not be without reason as the numbers of stalking cases are into the millions across the country with the most common stalker type being a former intimate partner. Which is unsettling to have someone that you shared a relationship with and maybe even a child could be the cause of your greatest distress.
This brings us into our case today. Alyssa Burkett by all accounts lived a normal life. She was the mother to a 1 year old daughter, she went to work, hung out with friends and family, and went about her every day needs. The only thing to note is she had an ex that was attempting to make her life a living hell.
Join us as we discuss the tragic case of Alyssa Burkett.

We have all heard those tales of the past. Those over romanticized stories of a safer time where no one had a care in world. The favorite thing to say “It was so safe people didn’t lock their doors” it seems laughable now but there was a time when people just didn’t see the dangers of world how we do. I guess not having the Citizens app will do that. One such family were the Kludt’s Mother Bertha and her daughter Beverly followed the logic of the time that crime was far removed from their lives living in Tacoma Washington. However that would all change in an instant when a man drifting into town stubbles on their home. It was a time of booming industry and new found conservatism. It was this decade where the term “Yuppie” was born. Used to describe college educated and upper middle class young people. And that title could definitely be used to describe Charles and Carol Stuart a young Boston couple. Charles a fur company manager and Carol a lawyer. Everything seemed to be going just right for the Stuarts: good well paying jobs, married, and a baby on the way . However, tragedy would strike and shake the foundation of the Stuart family and Boston.
