Sport and sailing aren't the only things which consume their thoughts though, the health of our oceans and quality of the seas surrounding New Zealand and beyond are major passions for both of them.
That's led them to launch a their charity Live Ocean, which will support and invest in promising marine science, innovation, technology and marine conservation projects.
Daniel McHardy spoke to both Peter and Blair about this new endeavour, what led them to kick starting it and how they're planning on managing their time with the Olympics and America's Cup on the horizon.

In this week's edition of the Weekly Shred Daniel McHardy catches up with Olympic kayaker Mike Dawson who is about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, in one day. Him and a group of adventurers/recreational warriors (including world champion extreme kayaker Sam Sutton) are setting out to see how much they can pack into one day this Friday, hoping to kick-start a nation-wide movement called One Day NZ.
Their itenery includes skiing Ruapehu, dipping into the hot pools in Taupo, mountain biking shuttles in Whakarewarewa, walking on the Kaituna river track, rafting the Kaituna, surfing at Papamoa and a lovely sunset beer at Pap Tav.

While Daniel McHardy was at the Winter Games broadcasting live from Cardrona, he was joined by one of the freeski slope-style judges Luke Hetzel.

Michael Johannink is a Black Caps super fan who bought flights and a match ticket after they beat India in the semi finals.
Michael flew to London for the match, went to the game and had the time of his life. But because it was delayed 15 minutes and then there was a Super Over, he had to leave the game early in order to catch his flight!
He listened to the super over in a cab in London with reception coming in and out, along with streaming the game on his phone in the hotel lobby.
Michael joined Daniel McHardy to share his unbelievable story.
