We can use little moments of vulnerability to grow. We are all vulnerable: every day in small ways and vast ways, we are confronted with limits to control over things that matter to us. Our wise bodies signal us right in the moment that the “fact” of being vulnerable morphs into a “feeling” of being vulnerable – and that is “the” moment to pay inner attention to accelerate our personal growth.

Welcome to Embracing Unrest. In this first episode I introduce the idea of ‘unrest’ as an attention getter. Unrest is the physical experience of vulnerability. It comes through the same nervous system circuitry as fear which is why we avoid our inner experience. But if we can understand unrest’s true agenda, we can learn to soothe it and grow.
