Fashion Besties it's Friyyyyaaayyyy and you will not regret spending the next 30 with us.
Welcome to Episode 221 of the Fashion Crimes Podcast. This week, we're diving deep into one of the most versatile and timeless wardrobe staples: DENIM! What you need, what you don't need; what's hot and what's trending.
Whether you're a jean queen or hesitant to hop on the denim train, this episode will convince you why having the right denim is a game-changer. #trustandbelive
From light washes to dark rinses, ripped to raw, we’ve got the ultimate guide to elevate your jean game. So, stop what you are doing, and let’s talk denim! It's all the rage right now, and not going anywhere anytime soon.
HOT TIP: Follow along with Holly’s curated denim Pinterest Board! Lots of examples to inspire you there.
KEY TOPIC POINTS
Jeans will never go out of style and haven't for the past 150 years. So, here's the thing: if you hate jeans, this just means that you haven't found a pair that fits your body correctly. This is important. To find the correct fitting jeans, you must identify your body type and where you need the most support.
It's worth the effort to find that fit because they will be in your wardrobe forever. You won't be sorry.
“Denim is something that can sustain you for several years and is one of the most durable clothing items you will ever own.” – Holly Katz, your favorite personal stylist
**The Must-Have Trio**
Every wardrobe deserves these three staples: light and, dark wash, black and a white pair for extra credit! These pieces will effortlessly carry you through casual Fridays, chic brunches, date nights, and so much more. Think of them as the foundation of your denim arsenal. Think of it this way- a great-fitting pair of jeans can make you look YOUNGER. (#facts) It's all about the fit. It's a foolproof plan.
**Holly’s 5 Factors to Consider When Buying Jeans**
Before you swipe that credit card or buy the first pair you try on, let's keep these five factors in mind:
1. Rise: High, mid, or low? The rise determines where your jeans sit on your body and how they flatter your waistline.
2. Stretch: Look for elastane or spandex in the fabric blend for comfort and movement. Always do the sit-down test to ensure they aren't too low in the back or baggy in the front (too big) before committing to purchase.
3. Support: If you need extra shaping-you've come to the right place. Brands like Spanx NYDJ, or Good American can offer tummy control and butt support in a variety of styles.
4. Rinse: Dark washes can make you look slimmer (#truth) if that's what you're going for. Lighter washes are great for a laid-back vibe in the warmer months. Don’t be afraid to try colored or wax-coated denim for a fun twist-you might be pleasantly surprised.
5. Price: Whether you’re splurging or saving, fit is king. Vintage and secondhand stores can be goldmines for quality denim at a fraction of the cost. Make sure you TRY ON before purchasing and get familiar with return policies. A size 28 today might not be the same size 28 from a few years back. #justsayin
**Brands That Love Every Body**
For those seeking comfort, style, and the perfect fit, here are some Holly-approved brands:
- Levi’s: A timeless classic. Start with the iconic 501s and build from there. #greatprices
- Mother: Known for buttery-soft fabrics and flattering cuts. #alwaysfab
- Good American: Inclusive sizing and their famous gap-proof waistband. #signmeup
- NYDJ: Perfect for a little extra support and tummy control. #greatsupport
Remember: Fit first, style second. Try before you buy! #foreverandalways
Listen to the episode for more brand suggestions!
**Distressed Denim: Still in Style?**
Yes, ripped and distressed jeans are here to stay and aren't going away anytime soon! Luxury brands are even upping the ante, charging top dollar for that artfully tattered look.
But if you’re not looking to splurge, distress them yourself for a unique, personal touch.
**Is there a Denim Fashion Crime?**
The only possible denim crime, in Holly’s view, is “jeggings.” Either wear leggings and work out, or wear jeans like a grownup. Please feel free to tell anyone who might need to know this.
Also? Ill-fitting jeans that are too tight on your waist and cause “overage” and low-rise jeans that let your backside hang out. Come on Ladies (and Gents), no one wants to see either. Again, please feel free to tell anyone who might need to know. #ucandoit
**Care Tips for Longevity**
Don’t over-wash your denim. Every 3-4 wears is ideal and always air dry to maintain the fabric’s integrity.
HOT TIP: For a quick refresh, try the freezer method—yes, really! It helps kill bacteria without breaking down the fibers.
Don't forget to follow along with Holly’s curated denim Pinterest Board!
Share with someone who just needs to know.
Quick Personal Update
Holly’s health journey: She is on her way to a bone marrow transplant on deck this week to treat a blood cancer called multiple myeloma. Hair will be gone but wig will be on! (Feel free to put that on a pillow). Her wig is cocked, locked, and ready to rock.
Holly is feeling strong and positive – and a huge thanks to all our besties who’ve sent so much love and support—you keep Holly going!

KEY TOPICS
Boot Styles for Every Occasion
Holly dives into must-have boot styles for your wardrobe—from over-the-knee and mid-calf to chic ankle booties. Find out how each style can transform your look and learn the tips for making sure they fit perfectly and complete your perfect look. You'll make your friends jealous, we promise.
1. Over-the-knee or Thigh-high Boots:
Looking for style drama? These boots are perfect for adding that bold, dramatic flair to any outfit. Thigh-high boots can be styled with shorter or knee-length dresses to make your legs appear longer. Showing off the top of the boot or pairing them with skinny jeans and a fitted sweater will definitely create a chic, streamlined look that will never go out of style.
*Hot TIP: For colder weather wear ONLY, so make sure you’re not wearing them when it’s above 40 degrees if you don't want to be schvitzing.
2. Mid-Calf and Cowboy Boots:
Whether you prefer an authentic pair for that rugged, traditional feel, or a high-fashion cowboy-style boot, cowboy boots are absolutely timeless. Mid-calf boots are a great option paired with a maxi dress, skirt, or over a pair of jeans. A fave look with mid-calf boots: colored or patterned boots over jeans with a cropped sweater. Or, tuck in your leggings, and add a belt over your blazer to achieve street-style comfort.
*Hot TIP: Authentic cowboy boots or cowboy-style boots are a must-have in your wardrobe, whether you're a cowgirl or not. #nonnegosh
3. Ankle Boots (Booties):
These versatile boots can be worn all year round! Holly emphasizes finding a pair that fits snugly around your ankle to create a sleek silhouette, whether you’re styling them with tights and a skirt in cooler weather or over leather-esque leggings. Booties are great for adding a pop of style without overwhelming your outfit.
4. Flat Riding Boots:
Classic and timeless, flat-riding boots are perfect for casual days. Holly recommends pairing them with jeans or leggings and an oversized chunky sweater for a polished, equestrian-inspired outfit. Caramel, black, or dark brown flat boots will be a great boot investment for years to come. These boots are also great for women on the go or for someone on their feet all day, offering comfort without sacrificing style.
Avoiding Boot Fashion Crimes!
Ever wonder if your boots are a fashion do or don’t? Holly shares the boot crimes you need to steer clear of—like wearing weatherproof boots when it’s sunny (we’re looking at you, Florida!) and why pairing the wrong pants with short booties can ruin your whole outfit.

Welcome back, Fashion Besties! In this week’s episode of the Fashion Crimes Podcast, your favorite personal stylist, Holly Katz, is diving into a topic that is new to her but essential for many: How to Buy a Wig. As Holly faces her personal journey through cancer and prepares for her treatment for multiple myeloma, she shares her first-hand experience in wig shopping, offering invaluable advice to anyone considering this option, whether for medical reasons or a fun change in style. In this episode, she breaks down the decision-making process with her options while hanging at the wig store. Holly’s openness and humor make this episode both informative and uplifting! KEY TOPICS: 1. To Wig or not to Wig? Holly opens up about her recent diagnosis of multiple myeloma and the inevitable hair loss that comes with treatment. While this situation is deeply personal, Holly emphasizes that wigs aren’t just for people experiencing hair loss—many people choose to wear them simply to change up their look. 2. Wig Shopping 101 Holly takes us through her journey of wig shopping, from walking into a wig boutique for the first time to the overwhelming options that greeted her. She learned that what looks good on a mannequin doesn't always translate well on a real person. Here she offers practical tips like trying different styles, consulting experts, and trusting the professionals who work at these stores. She learns the difference between synthetic and real hair wigs, and why you might want to invest in a wig that looks close to your natural hair if you’re aiming for a seamless transition. 3. Top Tips for Choosing the Perfect Wig Whether you're considering a wig for the first time or just looking to refresh your current style, this advice is solid gold. She encourages trying a variety of styles and even pushing your own boundaries a bit. If you’re daring, try something completely different, like going blonde—but remember, wigs are personal, and staying true to your comfort zone is always a great choice. HOT TIP: Understand return policies IN DETAIL and try on wigs on in person, because what looks good online may not suit your skin tone or face shape. Purchasing a wig virtually is a little bit more labor-intensive and risky, but can be done with the right guidance from a wig stylist at the boutique of your choice. 4. Wigs Aren’t Just for Hair Loss One surprising takeaway? Wigs have become a staple in the fashion world even for those who don’t need them for medical reasons. From celebrities to everyday fashionistas, wigs are increasingly popular for switching up your style. Who knew?!? Making this new world feel more approachable and fun, Holly gives the 411 on the wig process that can help anyone considering if a wig is a smart style choice. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Whether you're considering a wig due to hair loss or just looking to add some versatility to your wardrobe, Holly’s advice is empowering: “You can do it, and no one even will be able to tell!" She reminds us that, in fashion and life, it's all about confidence, and finding a wig that makes you feel fabulous is just one more way to express yourself. Welcome to another life-changing episode of the Fashion Crimes Podcast, as the best fashion friend you never knew you needed! It's important for you to know that this episode will change the way you get dressed. Like forever.
This week, Holly Katz dives into the art of closet organization to revolutionize your daily dressing routine and elevate your overall style once and for all! #hallelujurrrrrr
If you are in closet chaos, Holly's here to turn you around so you get organized, purge, donate, and eliminate stress when getting dressed.
KEY TOPICS
1. Understanding the Closet Chaos Epidemic
Holly kicks off the episode by identifying common wardrobe woes, from overflowing drawers to the emotional clutter that is blocking your style; whether consciously or unconsciously.
It's not just about having too much or too little; it's about reconnecting with your clothes in a way that sparks joy and creativity. #YAASSSSSSSS
HOT TIP: Organizing your stuff is the first step in training your brain that you don't need more!
2. The First Steps to Freedom
Sorting through your items, (ALL OF THEM), will start you on your purging journey. Holly outlines how to start small, avoid the overwhelm, and focus on keeping what you love and makes you feel good. More doesn't always necessarily mean better. It means closet clutter.
She shares her favorite tip: swapping out mismatched hangers for velvet slimline ones to maximize space and add an instant luxe feel to your closet setup.
3. Laundry and Shopping Habits
Consistent laundry practices are key to maintaining that new closet feel.
Holly discusses the pitfalls of erratic laundry habits and over-shopping, providing practical advice on how to create a sustainable wardrobe without succumbing to shopping temptations aka: panic shopping.
4. Donations and Sustainable Choices
Once you've sorted through your wardrobe, it's time to give back.
Holly emphasizes the importance of donating to charities that can truly benefit from your gently used items and advises on how to choose the right places to make an impact. Places like Dress for Success in your town is a great place to start bringing your gently used items in great condition.
5. Drawer and Shoe Organization
The final touch involves decluttering your drawers and displaying your shoes out of the boxes and off the floor.
Holly gives actionable tips on how to keep everything accessible and orderly, turning your closet into a showcase you’re proud to open every day. Once you complete the clean out, you will never want to go back to your old closet chaos. Make your closet a place where you are proud to get dressed each day.
Show Us Your Closet for the Win!
As you transform your wardrobe space, we'd love to see your progress!
1. Can you keep it that way? Send Holly some before-and-after photos of your closet, and she’ll give you a shout-out on the next episode.
2. Whoever has the most garbage bags full of stuff to give away, send Holly a picture and a description of what you're giving away and the number of bags you're donating - and the name of the charity you're donating to- and you can win an exclusive interview live on the show to tell everyone about your closet clean out experience.
Just send your stories and pictures to [email protected].

Welcome back, fashion besties! In this episode of the *Fashion Crimes Podcast*, Holly Katz brings you the latest and greatest from the biggest trend-setting runways of New York Fashion Week.
If you're looking to elevate your style game and stay ahead of the fashion curve, you don't want to miss her insider scoop on what’s hot and what’s not.
Get a sneak peek at Holly’s top trend picks on her Pinterest Board!
Even though the shows were geared toward the Spring 2024 season, Holly’s keen eye reveals how many of these trends are already making waves this fall and winter. Know this: these trends are ageless and can work for any body type.
So grab your favorite top-handle bag, buckle up with those trending wide belts, and tune in as Holly spills the tea on everything from oversized scarves to nautical vibes, all while helping you avoid those dreaded fashion crimes!
Key Topics:
**Fringe, Oversized, and Deconstructed Styles**
Fringe was everywhere this season, from carwash skirts to capes, and it's a trend that’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Holly highlights how oversized everything—scarves, jackets, and lapels—is making a bold statement for both men and women this fall.
She also discusses the rise of deconstructed clothing, like unfinished sweaters sewn onto shirts or jackets with extra lapels, double belts, and waistbands.
These playful, edgy looks are perfect for those who love a more interesting, conversational style.
**Early 2000s Nostalgia – The Return of Dress Over Pants**
Love it or hate it, the dress-over-pants combo is back in full force, with sheer slacks and layered sheath dresses leading the way.
Holly reminisces about rocking this look 25 years ago, (still love it), and she's here to help you embrace this trend for a modern twist.
**Nautical & Western Themes**
Holly reports a heavy nod to nautical styles on the runway, featuring everything from sailor knots and caps to navy-and-white stripes. Western influences also held strong with cowboy-inspired denim, patchwork, and distressed looks. If you're a fan of flowy peasant tops or chain belts with bold links, this is your season to shine!
**Bold Colors and Rich Textures**
This season is all about contrast and texture. Holly highlights bold black-and-white combos, deep jewel tones like jade green and navy, and neutral shades like cream and khaki.
Crochet is making a statement, paired with sheer fabrics, while beading adds flair to coats and denim. Whether it's crochet or textured layers, the options for mixing colors and fabrics are endless!
**Accessories Take Center Stage**
The star of the accessory world this season is the top-handle bag. Medium-sized bags with structured handles were spotted everywhere, along with belts taking a lead role in fall outfits.
Holly notes the revival of charms—both on jewelry and handbags—as well as bold hair accessories, making these must-haves for any fashionista looking to level up their look.
**Fashion for Women Over 40: What Holly Saw at NYFW**
For all the fabulous women over 40: a trend doesn't have to be conforming or "too young" for you to pull off. Many designers this season have created wearable looks that don’t just belong on the runway but are perfect for real life. #YAASSSS. From crop tops to structured blazers, there’s no age limit to pulling off these fresh styles. You can absolutely make it work for you.
This season’s shows offered plenty of ways to incorporate trends like oversized scarves, wide belts, and utility jackets into your wardrobe, all while keeping comfort and sophistication front and center.
HOT TIP: Don't forget to follow along on Holly’s Pinterest Board to see her picks from NYFW!
And let’s not forget Ralph Lauren’s masterful show in the Hamptons—Holly was particularly impressed by the timeless, American-inspired looks that work across all demos and lifestyles. It was denim, denim and double denim paired with classic nostalgic 1990's colors, styles, and accessories. With what seemed like over 100 looks to choose from, Ralph Lauren had the most incredible, wearable styles that we loved so much.
Fashion Crimes of the Week: Let’s Learn from Them!
Holly couldn’t help but spot a few fashion crimes in the wild this week, but don’t worry—she’s here to guide, not judge!
From rubber flip-flops posing as real shoes- #GIRLNO to outdated denim Capri pants and ill-fitting bras, #JUSTWHY these small missteps are totally fixable! #YAY
Remember, it’s never too late to elevate your style! Opt for polished sandals and chic cropped jeans that hit right at the ankle for a more flattering look.
Holly’s mission is to help you step out in confidence, so take note of these tips and turn those fashion faux pas into fashion wins!

- Holly Katz, Your Favorite Personal Stylist -
On this week’s episode of the Fashion Crimes Podcast, Holly Katz takes us back to her summer road trip to Charleston, South Carolina, where she visited the charming new brick-and-mortar store of the *Goldbug Collection* on Spring Street.
Founded by sisters Mini Hay Avant and Kathleen Hay Hagood, Goldbug is a local jewelry line born out of Croghan’s Jewel Box, their family’s iconic jewelry store in Charleston.
As fourth-generation jewelers, these sisters have reimagined Southern charm with their unique costume jewelry, sending their bug-inspired creations all over the country.
In this episode continuing her #womensupportingwomen series, she stops in and sits down with the Goldbug Collection team member Riley Steinhour while Mini and Kathleen were away to learn all about the brand’s inspiration, how it came to life, and why Goldbug is taking Charleston by storm.
Be sure to head over to our YouTube Channel to watch this fun in-store interview!
KEY TOPICS:
The Goldbug Story: From Family Tradition to Fashion Forward
Mini and Kathleen, raised in a family of jewelers, began designing jewelry inspired by Charleston’s low country beauty. From palm fronds to local bugs, the sisters turned their love for nature into a costume jewelry line that blends nostalgia and playfulness. #bugstobeautiful
Holly and Riley explore the roots of the brand, which started in Croghan’s Jewel Box, a century-old jewelry store in Charleston, and how their family’s engraving expertise has added a personalized touch to their pieces.
The Charm of Bug-Inspired Jewelry
Holly and Riley dive into one of Goldbug’s signature elements: jewelry inspired by Charleston’s Palmetto Bug. While this Southern roach may not seem like a likely muse, Mini and Kathleen transformed it into an emblem of the region’s character and charm. #what?!?!
The line also features okra-shaped pieces, peanuts, and fireflies, reflecting the beauty of everyday Southern life.
Riley shares how these quirky pieces resonate with customers, turning Charleston’s pests into wearable art.
The Craft of Customization and Engraving
A hallmark of Goldbug jewelry is its customization. With engraving passed down as a family trade, Goldbug offers bespoke pieces that customers can personalize with initials, dates, or symbols.
Riley showcases popular items like the “Forget Me Not” pendant and the baby puffy hearts, which make perfect gifts for loved ones.
Whether it’s a charm that commemorates a special moment or an engraved token with sentimental meaning, Goldbug’s pieces are a fusion of family history and modern design.
Mixing High and Low Jewelry Styles
Holly discusses one of her favorite aspects of the Goldbug collection: its versatility in styling. Riley highlights how the costume jewelry can be easily paired with fine jewelry for an effortlessly chic look.
Holly shares tips on mixing real and costume jewelry to create a bold yet timeless style. Whether it’s stacking bangles or layering necklaces, Goldbug pieces offer the perfect balance of playful design and classic elegance.
Why We Love the Goldbug Collection:
She wraps up the episode by expressing her love for the *Goldbug Collection* and why she is passionate about supporting women-owned, small businesses. #YYAASSSS
Goldbug’s combination of family heritage, creativity, and Charleston flair makes it a must-visit destination for any fashion lover. With pieces that tell a story and celebrate Southern charm, Goldbug is more than jewelry—it’s a celebration of artistry and community.
Holly encourages her listeners to check out the store online, follow them on social media, and discover how they can add a little bug love to their own collections. We would have never believed it until we saw it, but only Goldbug can create beauty and style from everyday things can be easily overlooked.
We were so impressed by their collection we can't wait to see what they will think of next.

Key Topics Discussed:
Fall Suiting Trends from the Democratic National Convention
Oprah Winfrey’s Show-Stopping Suit:
Holly dives into the buzz surrounding Oprah's purple Italian silk crepe wide-leg pantsuit by Christian Siriano. Oprah's ensemble not only made headlines but also caught Siriano by surprise, as he didn’t know she’d be wearing his design on such a significant stage.
Michelle Obama’s Navy Sleeveless Pantsuit:
Holly applauds Michelle Obama’s choice of a navy sleeveless pantsuit by Monse, highlighting its military detailing and her signature bare arms—a fashion risk that only someone like Michelle could pull off so effortlessly.
Kamala Harris’s Monochromatic Navy Suit:
Kamala Harris made a powerful statement in a custom navy blue suit by Chloe, complete with peaked lapels and a matching pussy bow blouse. Holly highlights the significance of her color choice, noting that navy symbolizes the Commander in Chief, making it a bold move in a political landscape often dominated by white or purple ensembles.
Pre-Fall Trends to Watch
Liquid Leather:
A favorite of Holly’s, liquid leather pants are the must-have item for the season. Whether you opt for real leather or a faux alternative, these pants provide a sleek, modern look that will carry you through fall.
Chunky Jewelry:
The chunkier, the better! Holly encourages listeners to embrace statement pieces, from bangle bracelets worn over sleeves to layered necklaces. It’s all about making a bold statement this season.
High-Neck Tops:
Turtlenecks and high-collared tops are back in a big way. Holly explains how to wear them to keep warm while staying stylish, including tips on scrunching your turtleneck for a modern twist.
Suiting Trends:
Whether you're inspired by the looks at the Democratic National Convention or just love a good power suit, Holly provides insights into how to rock a modern suit. She emphasizes the importance of fit and offers tips on mixing and matching pieces for a fresh, contemporary look.
Pre-Fall Wardrobe Essentials:
Jackets:
Lightweight jackets are essential as we transition into fall. Holly suggests adding a denim jacket, pattern blazer, or a lightweight bomber style jacket to your wardrobe. These versatile jackets can be worn draped over the shoulders during warmer days or layered up as the temperatures drop.
Boots:
From tall boots to fold-over styles, Holly covers all the boot trends you'll need to know. She especially highlights oxblood and dark green as the colors to watch this season.
Fall Florals:
Perfect for weddings or dressy occasions, fall florals in darker hues are a fantastic way to transition your summer wardrobe into autumn. Holly discusses how to incorporate these into your style with ease.
Fashion Crimes to Avoid:
Round Toe Flats with Skinny Jeans: #Fashioncrime
Fashion Crime Example: Holly warns against pairing outdated round toe flats with skinny jeans and a flowy top. Don't get sucked into the old flats from 15 years ago. Try a mesh or babydoll style flat instead.
Matchy-Matchy Costume Jewelry:
While it’s tempting to wear matching jewelry sets, Holly advises against this fashion faux pas. Instead, she suggests mixing and matching pieces for a more stylish and modern appearance.
Logo T-Shirts:
Holly firmly states that wearing logo T-shirts is a no-go unless it’s something truly meaningful. Keep it classy and avoid looking like a walking billboard.
Plastic or Lucite Shoes:
Say goodbye to plastic or lucite shoes, as they are a #fashioncrime. She includes Crocs and poofy cloud slides on her list of fashion don’ts.
Stanley Cups as Accessories:
In a surprising twist, we take a stand against the popular Stanley Cups. While functional, these cups are not chic and can take away from your overall look. Try upgrading to a more stylish water bottle if you must carry one in public.
Final Thoughts:
Now you can shop for your favorite pre-fall trends with your pinterest board and all of this free fashion content delivered straight to your inbox every single week.

Welcome back to the Fashion Crimes Podcast, the best fashion friend you never knew you needed!
In this vivacious episode, we continue our series celebrating the flair and entrepreneurship of women-owned fashion businesses in Charleston, SC.
This week, Holly chats with the dynamic Kilby Bronstein from The Finicky Filly, nestled on the historic King Street—a hotspot for fashion and creativity.
Dive into Kilby's fascinating journey into fashion retail and how she brings a unique style to Charleston's charming streets.
NOTE: Be sure to follow along on YouTube this week, to see Holly’s exclusive in-store interview and the styles you need to know at The Finicky Filly!
Key Episode Highlights:
• The Origin Story:Kilby delves into how she unexpectedly became a fashion entrepreneur. After her father's passing, she returned to Buffalo and was presented with the chance to purchase her former employer's fashion store and the building it was housed in.
She and her mother seized this unexpected opportunity, transforming it into Half and Half, a boutique that caters to women of all ages, emphasizing a mother-daughter shopping experience.
This store laid the groundwork for her venture into Charleston's fashion scene.
• Adapting to Charleston’s Market:Kilby discusses the strategic shift required when she took over The Finicky Filly in Charleston, emphasizing the different fashion preferences between her clientele in Buffalo and those in Charleston.
She adapted to local tastes by sourcing unique, southern-inspired collections and introducing lines not found in other local stores, thereby setting The Finicky Filly apart from the competition on King Street.
• Fashion Trends and Customer Engagement:In Charleston, Kilby focuses on offering attire that appeals to a “daughter to mother to grandmother “ demographic, with special attention to creating stylish, comfortable, and versatile pieces that cater to women over 40.
She shares specific fashion challenges her customers face, like the need for dresses with sleeves, and how she curates her collection to meet these needs.
Kilby’s approach goes beyond just selling clothes; she builds relationships by understanding and responding to the unique wardrobe problems of her clients.
• Cultural Fashion Influences:Kilby is excited about incorporating fashion lines from Latin America into her Charleston store, highlighting how these pieces bring vibrant patterns, exquisite craftsmanship, and a fresh perspective to her boutique.
She mentions specific countries like Brazil and Colombia, noting their burgeoning fashion scenes and how these styles resonate with Charleston’s climate and fashion sensibilities.
• Building a Fashion Community:The discussion also covers how Kilby fosters a community through her boutique by ensuring every client feels seen and valued.
Whether styling someone for a European vacation or a local wedding, she and her staff strive to make fashion a personal and enjoyable exploration for each customer.
Kilby’s emphasis on personalized service helps transform first-time shoppers into lifelong patrons who feel connected to The Finicky Filly’s community-oriented shopping experience.
Thank You Note:
