I also share my experiences with postpartum anxiety and depression, intrusive thoughts, and ADHD, how I moved through these stages of my mental health, and what my mental health looks like right now, from non-negotiables throughout my day; to what I’m currently striving for towards a healthy, happy mind and body.

In this episode, I sit down with Stephanie Gottlieb to talk about her journey into the jewelry world, how she worked her way up from the Diamond District in Manhattan to setting out on her own, and how her business took off unexpectedly and grew into the luxury fine jewelry brand it is today. Stephanie shares how she has witnessed women find value in themselves through their investments in jewelry, how someone can explore what they want in a ring before an engagement occurs, and what the “4 C’s” mean for picking out a diamond. She also talks about how people can save some money on rings, how you can redesign an existing engagement ring, and what the staple jewelry pieces might be throughout someone’s life. Finally, she unpacks making the iconic “87” necklace for Taylor Swift, how that moment has had an impact on her business, and she shares her thoughts on Selena Gomez’s and Zendaya’s engagement rings.

In this episode, I catch up with my sister, Lucy, after New Years to talk about how she feels about the “Calendar-gate” video going viral, whether she’ll ever get a calendar, and how the bridesmaids dress search is going so far. She talks about how her Christmas with the future in-laws went this year, how we revert back to the “boxes” we’re put in with family, and why she and Tyler asked Joe to officiate their upcoming wedding. We also talk about New Year's resolution ideas, my upcoming mushroom sound bath, how Lucy cultivates her style, and more. Listen for a bonus Q&A with Tyler, Lucy’s fiancé, at the end of the episode.

In this episode, I sit down with Zach Rausch, lead researcher on the bestselling book “The Anxious Generation,” to discuss the impact social media is having on children, how we’re seeing social media affect mental health today, and what parents can do to create intentional relationships with social media and technology in households. Zach talks about the “great rewiring of childhood” that has occurred within the last decade, current trends in adolescent mental health, and why these trends aren’t just an American issue. He also explains the perfect storm of social media usage during “periods of particular vulnerability,” how boys and girls are targeted differently on social media, and why the introduction of the forward-facing camera was so significant for our culture. Finally, we talk about why millennial parents are the last generation that can create change for our kids, how social media can be positive, what phone-free schools can look like, and more.

In this episode with financial therapist Aja Evans, we discuss what Aja does in her profession and how taking ownership of her own financial education led her to her career. She talks about what she most often sees in her financial therapy practice, the common misconceptions people have about managing finances, and explains why we feel shame around money. She also shares how we can start talking to kids about money, why learning to spend is as equally important as learning to save, and how money and self-esteem are linked. Finally, we talk about “the thrill of the chase” we feel as consumers, how we can slow ourselves down when we impulsively spend, how we can set boundaries around money and other people, and more.
