Relationships are challenging.
In this episode, we explore some of the Autistic phenotype challenges in relationships. We discuss symptoms from criteria A are external and criteria B are internal, and how criteria B complicates the symptoms in criteria A. In addition, Autism is a comparison to social-norms, and this is a problem. Some environments/relationships discussed include peer-to-peer, romantic, and parent-child. To begin, we explain the mechanisms behind the speaker-receiver and the use of conveying speech in socialness.
Before we begin, we cover a brief explanation of Speaker-Receiver and human communication.

In this episode, we discuss Autism and the Default Mode Network. According to Lisa Feldman-Barrett, the Default Mode Network has many names because it has been discovered, named, rediscovered, and renamed many times. I do not disagree with the Science regarding Autism and the Default Mode Network. However, I disagree with the Interpretation of the Data. This IS our Default; our preferred state; the core of the Autistic Phenotype.
After listening to this episode and understanding B.3, you can understand MOST of Autism. The only reason you cannot understand ALL of Autism from these two episodes is the amount of Phenotypes branching off of B.3 and our Default Mode. Autism IS preference for ALONENESS and SAMENESS. This minimizes sensations and distractions that interfere with our internal world. This state is NOT abnormal, how society interferes with it makes it abnormal.
If you want more Autistics to ACHIEVE, then understand your interaction, interference, and interpretation of what YOU think Autism is, and that delta determines how much we are prevented in life. This, of course, becomes slightly different the more profound the Autistic Phenotype is with that specific person.
In this episode, we will explore the different brain regions and the goals of these regions as it relates to our phenotypes. We will get into some "Thinking in Picture" and thinking styles. This will be a good time because of a future guest on From the Spectrum Podcast discussing Autism and Creativity. This is exciting for me.

In this episode, we discuss eye-tracking as an early biomarker for Autism. Eye-tracking, on infants, improve assessment outcomes at young ages, as young as 14-months-old. Adding biomarkers to the assessment process is valuable, and Autism research is beginning to offer more biomarkers. We've covered biomarkers in cellular respiration, serotonin, two studies on 6-week-olds- 1) predicted profound Autism with brain cortical organoids and 2) salience network connectivity. Today, we review four scientific papers on eye-tracking being added to the assessment process.
A valuable consideration is the roles our eyes have on brain development, which we cover as well.

In this episode, we discuss the mitochondria. You know mitochondria as the "powerhouse" of the cell, but this biological process is biophysics meeting biochemistry. We discuss glycolysis, the TCA cycle (or Citric Acid cycle or Krebs cycle), and Oxidative Phosphorylation. This discussion goes deep inside the atomic molecular level with electrons and protons. Hang in there with the discussion and topic of Autism and understanding of the generational link to a loss of electrons.

In this episode, we challenge the modern trend of Autism and ADHD comorbid diagnosis. We will use children from Kanner and Asperger to show these so-called ADHD symptoms are simply parts of the Autistic Phenotype. However, society finds it easier to lump these two conditions together, and we question why. We review both, the inattentive criteria and the hyperactivity and impulsivity of ADHD and explain when the Autistic phenotype exhibit these conditions.
The criteria for ADHD are downstream behaviors seen across multiple reasons and act as a collect-all. I did not say ADHD does not exist, but I do say Autism and ADHD existing simultaneously seems unlikely if you really understand the phenotypes. Might it just be easier for society to lump these together instead of challenging the differences?
B.3 and Inattention are complete opposites. Hyperactivity and Impulsivity can show up when anyone is in the wrong or horrible environment.

His blog, Autism Gadfly, provides perspectives of Autism otherwise not considered by the lay-public or researchers in Autism. Jonathan's views have been mentioned in Newsweek, NPR, Autism Daily Newscast, and HuffPost.
Jonathan was born in 1955 in Los Angeles. We discuss his experience at an early age including psychoanalytic therapy, psychological assessment, and troubles through education. Eventually, Jonathan and his family learned about Autism while on a trip to the East. Jonathan faced many challenges through his education in different schools beginning in kindergarten. However, Jonathan graduated from UCLA with a bachelors of arts in psychology.
We also discuss challenges in professional and personal life as an adult where he faced various barriers. In the early 2000s, when the internet allowed for different communication platforms, Jonathan began to call out things wrong in Autism. In addition, he carries a loud voice for a cure/treatment for Autism. Recently, you can find him on X as he continues to be a voice for the Autistic community.

In this episode, we explore typical topics with Autism research and try to understand the purpose. Autism research is confounding, and maybe, lacks direction. We offer a research suggestion based on the most plausible cause of Autism- the new modern day environmental factor- Artificial Light. Remember, Autism just shows up, so it makes sense to send the mother and father back to an environment pre-Autism.

In the episode, we will explore a common problem with Autism- the Gastrointestinal Tract. The one consistent finding with Autism and GI is a problem exists. However, research on complicated in these complicated and complex areas of human biology despite what appears to be tight controls in the studies. However, one crucial component is missing- Light. In this episode, we will cover how biology structures order from the light input and the chaos from the environment.
Major Areas include Enterochromaffin Cells, Serotonin, Aromatic Amino Acids, Vitamin D, Enteric Nervous System, the endocrine systems, and the Hypothalamic-Pitutary-Adrenal Axis.

In this episode, we explore Autism developing in the embryo. We will review a couple Scientific papers discussing specific time frames of development within the embryo based on each trimester and specific cellular abnormal processes occurring. We will connect previous biological and environmental components and how it influences the creation of Autism and previous episodes of From the Spectrum podcast.
Remember in the Cause of Autism episode- Light, Water, Magnetism, Periodic Elements, Vitamins, and Proteins because they are involved. During the episode, we review risk-genes and how this could be the wrong direction for Autism research. As a counter, I provide where research and funding needs to focus- pregnancy.

In this episode, we explore some critical dates and understanding of Autism. We will time travel from 1911 to 2024 with a goal of understanding why the sharp increase in Autism diagnosis of late. We review the closeness of schizophrenia and the separation from schizophrenia. In addition, we will review Autism becoming a separate diagnosis in the DSMs from the 1980s and review the closeness of Vaccines and Assessment Standardization that parallels this time. Hopefully, some consideration about the rates of Autism are presented.

Autism just magically shows up.
In this episode, we explore neuroplasiticity in our biology for one common environmental change- Light. Please consider 1) Critical Thinking and 2) Curiosity as we travel upstream in the biological implications causing Autism. In addition, we will explore other common health conditions related to Light. These health conditions are dementia, type 1 diabetes, obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases.
The episode will discuss light as an electromagnetic strip and how our biology uses this energy. We discuss the embryo, neuroectoderm (brain and skin), proteins being wide-band gap semiconductors, photoelectric effect, cytochromes and mitochondria, chromophores, and related topics.
"... I realized that all biochemistry is the bridesmaid to physics. I then realized that physics are how the business of cells gets completed. Light is the biophysical levers that control substrate level biochemistry in cells." - Dr. Jack Kruse
