In this episode, Simon interviews Ryuta Kimura, pastor of OO+ Church in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo, and Damian Grateley, lead pastor of GraceCity Church in Nagoya. Ryuta begins by sharing how the gospel started spreading during the Edo period of Japanese history till today as spiritual hardness has plagued the culture reducing the number of christians to only 1% of the population. Despite the spiritual hardness of the Japanese people, Damian and Ryuta share encouraging aspects of how the Japanese church is still growing and how the gospel is taking deeper root in the hearts of the people.
