We’re back! After a brief hiatus, we’re back talking all thing Greek mythology. In preparation for our trip to Athens, we’re telling Athena’s origin story, and it’s a wild one. Let us give you a headache to rival Zeus’ with all our stuff and nonsense!

Continuing our Theban saga, we’re wrapping it up with the story of Antigone. Greek mythology’s best brat, she was strong willed, principled and hard work…just like our very own podcast host in a lot of ways. Today we tell her story, get distracted along the way, but make it back for potentially our most tragic ending yet.

Another week, another Greek Chic episode where we get drunk and talk about Greek myths and all of their related tangents! This week we’re talking about Tiresias- a blind prophet who having spent time as both a male and a female, was called upon to answer who has the greatest orgasm. Obviously, we had to debate this too. We really enjoyed covering this myth and it’s associated discussions- lots of interesting chat about masturbation, sexuality and orgasms in general. As usual, not for those offended easily!

We’re back! Newly recovered from covid and several glasses of Prosecco down, we’re bringing you Ashleigh’s Greek myth- Echo and Narcissus! Content warning for this episode where we have lengthy discussions about kinks, covid and crying. It’s good to be back!

In today’s episode of Greek Chic, we go for the world’s saddest love story. The sad tale of star crossed Orpheus and Eurydice. This myth will pull at your heartstrings, but it’s hard to take it too seriously when it’s interspersed with chat about Kanye West, overheard orgasms and the word ‘hymen’ being overused. As ever, this is Greek mythology told in a refreshing, funny way and given a very Millennial spin.

Finally. It’s here. We are dedicating a whole episode to the weird and wonderful seduction exploits of Zeus. It’s a result of peer pressure from listeners, giving him his own episode, and yes, we could focus on the mythology of his origin story, the role he played in several wars and important events, but we decided to focus on the weird ways in which he’s had sex. It’s your favourite podcast girls ranting about your least favourite Greek God, what’s not to love?

Today in Greek Chic, we’re covering the myth you guys have requested most: Hades and Persephone! This story is so often mis-told so we’re myth busting the myth and talking about how truly awful this love story actually is. Join us as we talk about the Underworld, our mental health, and the only time where you’re better to spit than to swallow. Remember to follow us on social media and to leave a review if you love the show!

This week we tackle one of Ashleigh’s favourite characters from Greek Mythology- Prometheus. We hear about his bro feud with Zeus and how it led to Pandora and her box. Spoiler alert: there was no box. Lots of swearing and lots of talk about clitoral stimulation, listener discretion advised.

Welcome back to Greek Chic, your weekly fix for all thing Greek mythology! This week Ashleigh tells Katie the story of how Kronos overthrew his father, Ouranos and how Aphrodite was born from his weird choice in how to yield a sickle. We obviously get sidetracked and talk rather a lot about rather a lot else. It’s fierce, feminist and funny as ever. Parental guidance- these are not ladies chatting over tea.

In this episode, we take a deep dive into Hermes’ origin story. It’s a weird one, featuring the world’s creepiest and most precocious baby. Parental advisory, explicit content (and by that I mean my parents should not listen). Please remember to rate and subscribe to Greek Chic- we thrive off the attention.

In our inaugural episode of Greek Chic, Ashleigh tells the story of Dionysus’ birth. Inspired by this weird time between Christmas and New Year and drinking too much, we hear the origin story of the God of Wine and find ourselves on a very long tangent about the dreaded dick pic. Parental guidance advised. That’s right, ask your daddy.
