The Road Safety Authority calls for a clamp down on drivers that are caught speeding, with a proposed plan to double the points of drivers caught using their mobile phones from three to six.
The proposed move is to combat the highest number of recorded road deaths in over a decade, after 81 people lost their lives on Irish roads already since the start of 2024.
What is the solution to reduce these numbers and make our roads safer?
