Host Jeremy Quinby has a conversation with Dr. Dan, a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician for the 3rd time on the podcast to discuss bedwetting, medically known as nocturnal enuresis. There are no medical interventions proven to solve this challenge, but Dan has been working for decades helping children who lose control while sleeping to wake up proudly in their warm, dry beds.
For both parents and children, this can be one of the most frustrating and embarrassing disorders for an otherwise healthy child. Clinical hypnosis helps to reprogram an otherwise well regulated system which has only become faulty during sleep.
Jeremy and Dan discuss their experience with with this condition through their complementary integrative methods and take us through a clinical hypnosis session, to show the exact method used to reprogram bed wetting and other behavioral challenges. Lots to learn for any parent who has a dysregulated child. -
Host Jeremy Quinby has a conversation with Kelsey Reardon, a pediatric nurse and integrative medicine practitioner here in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota. Having worked as a school nurse and as an in patient and out patient provider, she’s recently branched out this past year to create her own clinic setting where she’s finding more freedom to hone her skillset incorporating more holistic pediatric care modalities, including Chinese medicine and acupressure, pediatric massage, aromatherapy, yoga, reiki and most importantly, education.
As they discuss here, it’s incredibly important to continue to build a modal for a more integrative approach to care where individuals and families are able to be exposed to new tools that can address challenges as they come up and prevent them from ever becoming chronic conditions.
So many great considerations in this conversation for both parents and practitioners of care.

Host Jeremy Quinby has a conversation with Eva Minkoff about her Ted Talk: Five Minutes to Fix Our Broken Healthcare System. Having worked in a number of different sectors of health from Nutrition, to Researcher to Health Technology, and even as a podcast host - she sees that the key to improving care relationships is finding ways to improve human relationships, and that is is something everyone involved has a role.
In our rush to solutions, we often forget that the person we're interacting with is someone else’s son or mother or sibling with a life full of experiences we know nothing about. What matters is that we find some way connect and Eva believes there are specific questions and ways to streamline this process so we allow more time for building rapport into the limitations of appointment times, with the understanding that this is the start of what could be a long relationship for all parties involved.

In our fast-paced existence most of us do not allow ourselves to just be present in our bodies, to tune in, listen listen deeply and give it the space it needs to loosen, let go, and heal. Modern yoga methods in the U.S. tend towards achievement, and because of this, limit participation based on physical ability. Jeff Bailey, the founder of Avita yoga has in many ways taken yoga back to the basics blending a more restorative approach to yoga with meditative practice that can be enjoyed by all.

It's over-arching goal, based in abolitionist principals, is to build mutual aid and reduce harm for our community's most vulnerable populations.
