When you gave your life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit of God came and took up residence inside you. You became a new person.
But knowing God deeply is a journey. It takes time to get to know Him just like it takes time to develop deep friendships and intimate relationships. Even as you’re getting to know God, you can still share with others about what He’s doing in your life.
You don’t have to have all the right answers or the complete understanding of God in order to share the Gospel with those around you.
Proverbs 3:5-6 puts it this way…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Sometimes, when you’ve just given your life to the Lord, people will notice a change in you right away.
Pray today and ask God who you might share Jesus with as you journey toward knowing Him more.

Are you discouraged today?
Maybe there’s a situation in your life that seems impossible. Or a relationship that’s breaking your heart.
Let me encourage you with the words from Hebrews 10, from The Message:“Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He (that's God) always keeps His word.”
Do you feel like you’re losing your grip? Don’t lose hope my friend. When you invite God to take control of your life, He fills you with hope.
Because He always keeps His promises and He knows exactly what’s happening in your life right now, you can speak to Him.
Just say:Lord, I need you today.I give you my life. Remind me of Your promises. And fill me with hope.
Always remember, there is hope with God.

Do you know God’s voice?
In John 10:3-4, Jesus says this about Himself…
He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
As you walk with the Lord more and more, you can trust that He will help you to learn to recognize His voice. He will lead and guide you on the path that He has for you. He will also teach you to represent Him—to speak the words He would want to say to them!
Yes, you get to participate in delivering Jesus’ message of love and salvation to others, bringing more and more people into the flock, and into the loving, tender care of the Good Shepherd.
Pray today, ask God to help you to hear His voice more and more clearly. He will answer your prayer.
Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

When you were born, you inherited some of the physical features of both your parents.
You share some of their personality traits, too.
But there is an identity that’s even deeper than what you share with your parents. The Bible tells us that even before you were born, God made you, and chose you to be His own.
This is your spiritual inheritance and in this way, every human is an image-bearer of God. And He wants every person to know Him and receive the spiritual inheritance of eternal life, becoming a son or daughter in Christ.
2 Peter 3 says,
He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent.
Spread the word, my friend. Every person was created in the image of God. And He wants every person to come to know Him. To know His love. To know His salvation.

We all long for home.
I’m born and raised on the island of Jamaica. I call it “My Sweet Jamaica.” And I have so many beautiful childhood memories of sunshine and my barefoot freedom as a little girl. The country rural areas…
But the truth is that the home I had as a child doesn’t exist any longer.Things have changed, and I’ve changed.
But there is a home that does exist and is so beautiful!
Listen to the words of Revelation 21,
Now, the dwelling of God is with people, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.
Is He with you? You can ask Him today. Just say, Lord, come and make Your home with me and in me.
Always remember, there is hope with God.

Right now, you have an earthly home.
Maybe you live in a house or an apartment. Maybe you share a living space with friends or relatives. Wendy and I love to have guests come into our home for celebrations or just to spend time together. Maybe you do that kind of thing, too.
But your home right now it’s temporary. If you are a follower of Jesus, your eternal home is in Heaven—in the face-to-face presence of Jesus. I cannot wait for that day. I know it will be more joyful than anything we have ever experienced on earth—like a celebration that has no end.
Isaiah prophesied about this time, saying…Your sun will never set;your moon will not go down. For the Lord will be your everlasting light.
Don’t you want to bring every person you know and love into that celebration with you?
Tell them about the joy that you’ve found in God.

The Bible calls us exiles.
It’s the word Peter uses in 1 peter. Speaking to the church, he says, “To God's elect, strangers in the world.” That word is ‘exile’.
We are strangers living in a strange land. We are made for another home—an eternal home.
Jesus told His friends in John 14,
I am going to prepare a place for you. So do not be afraid.
Right after He said this, He went to the cross, where He laid down His life so that one day we could be welcomed into the home we’re made for. Because of our sin and failures, we’re cast out of our home. But because of the cross, we can go home.
Will you one day be at home with your Heavenly Father?
Always remember, there is hope with God.

Think for a moment about your family…the people who took care of you when you were a baby.
Hopefully, they fed and clothed you, and made sure you were healthy.
Can you imagine if, when you were born, your parents asked you for a resumé just to show that you're qualified enough to be included in your family? That would be absurd!
And in the same way, you don’t have to earn the right to be in God’s family. All who choose to believe in salvation through Jesus Christ are welcomed in. God cares for you- not because of what you do or don’t do, just because you are His son, His daughter.
Let others know that they are also invited to be part of the family of God—no resume is required because Jesus has already paid the price. He died so that you can be brought in.
Who can you help bring into God’s family?

What does it mean to be an ambassador for Jesus?
It just means carrying His message with us into the world, everywhere we go—sharing what He has done for us.
It’s summed up for us so perfectly in this passage— 2 Corinthians 5:19-20. Where it says…
God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has now committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, it’s as though God were making his appeal through us.
Why did Jesus come?
He came to save us from the consequences of our wrong actions. He came to bring us into a close relationship with God.
We can take this truth into the world by speaking openly about who we are: people who have been restored by God.
Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

Do you long for your eternal home?
Do you know that the promise of this kind of home is for you? And one day, you WILL be at home with your Father.
One thing to remember is that God is a hospitable God. He’s welcoming, and He wants all to come home. As we think about home, He’s invited you, and He wants you to invite others. Hospitality is God’s idea.
In the last words of the book of Revelation chapter 22, it says this,“The spirit and the bride say ‘come!’ And let him who hears say: ‘come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.”
Live out the hospitality of God today.
Always remember, there is hope with God.

Jesus entered into the world He created in order to absorb the judgment we would have faced for all our sins.
And He came spreading a message—that through Him we can have closeness with God, whose love and power are bigger and better than we could ever imagine!
What would happen if we decided to make His message our life’s message?
What’s one way to do that? Jesus worked to correct people’s false ideas about God. Here’s an example in Matthew 5:43…
You have heard that it is said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
God is much bigger and more loving than you imagine. He is calling you to follow Him and to live a life of love.
Share this message with someone today. Help bring truth and clarity to their understanding of God.
Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

We are constantly working and trying and striving to create a home here that will never be possible.
Honestly, the true meaning of home is people, isn't it? The people we love, the people we would die for, protect, the people we'd pour out for- this is what home is all about.
The thing that shakes us is that the home we long for and we need can so easily be lost. One day, we will all breathe our last, but there is a home for us with eternal love that can never be taken away.
God says in the book of Jeremiah that He loves us with an everlasting love. That word everlasting means: Always, ancient, eternal, without end.
God offers this to you—an everlasting home with everlasting love.
Always remember, there is hope with God.

Much of Jesus’ words in the Bible are sending a message that His plan to be close to us is bigger and more powerful than we have dared to imagine.
In John 4, Jesus is speaking to a woman next to a well as she’s drawing water. And He says,
Those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.
The message is that there is something so much bigger than anything this world has to offer, bigger than the way we have dared to understand God.
Jesus shared this message when referring to Himself and the saving action that He would undertake on the cross. Will you enter into Jesus’ mission by sharing the same message?
Let those in your life who don’t know Jesus be invited to understand that God is so much better than they could ever even imagine.
Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

There is an amazing story in the Bible about when Jesus was walking down the road with His disciples.
But they did not know it was Him!
He had just died on the cross, and they did not yet know that He had been raised from the dead. They thought they were talking with a stranger until He revealed Himself to them, and then He vanished!
Listen to what they said after He was gone…
They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”
If you are a believer, I know you’ve had a personal encounter with Jesus. Do you remember the feeling…your heart burning within you as He spoke truth to the deepest places of your heart?
Hold onto that feeling. Let what Jesus has done for you burn within your heart…and don’t stop there! Share what He’s done for you—share the Good News of Jesus. Do it today.
Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

When God spoke to the prophet Ezekiel, He instructed Ezekiel in a vision to eat a scroll.
And it was covered with the words God wanted him to speak to the people. And when he ate it, it tasted like honey, and God told him to go and speak the words to His people.
What if God has given YOU words to share with the people in your lives?
The truth of who God is in the world, the hope that He offers to all people…these are words that should taste sweet in our mouths. They are words that He has commissioned every one of us to share.
Will you take a moment to reflect? Imagine what the Good News of Jesus would feel like coming out of your mouth.
God’s story and what He’s done in your life… this is yours to share. And it is so, so sweet.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to carry the message of the Gospel and the loving character of Jesus into the world.
Jesus talked about it this way,
He said,You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it’s lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again?
Well, what does that mean? We’re supposed to stand out in the world, adding blessing and benefit wherever we go. If we shrink back from being who God has called us to be in the world, that’s when we lose our saltiness.
The next verse goes on to say,
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
Jesus wants us to shine the light He has put inside of us for everyone to see. So, don’t hide the light of the Gospel that God has illuminated within your heart. Share it freely, and spread salt and light wherever you go.

Just like our bodies need food to function, our spirits also need nourishment.
We know what to feed the body, how to give it rest and shelter, and care. But what about the care and feeding of your spirit?
Jesus said this about Himself:
I am the true bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will not die as your ancestors did … but will live forever.
Jesus Himself is the life-giving spirit-food our souls cannot live without. He offers peace and rest, shelter, and care…at a deeper spiritual level. And He enables us to live forever.
We can offer this life-giving bread to all those suffering from spiritual starvation. Will you share Jesus, the bread of Heaven, today?

Sharing the Good News of Jesus with someone else is the most kind and loving thing you can do.
When you share the Gospel, you’re offering someone the opportunity to choose eternal life in Jesus Christ and to experience all the goodness that God offers- starting right now.
Proverbs 16:24 says this,
Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
Maybe the kind words you might share with a friend could sound something like this, “Can I tell you about someone who changed my life? I am sure He will do for you, what He’s done for me.”
Those are the kind of words that make a difference.
The world might try to convince us that sharing Jesus is annoying, invasive, or maybe judgmental. But don’t be deceived. Sharing the truth about who God is- there’s nothing more kind than that. Will you share openly with a friend today?

How do you connect with God?
Do you know that if you gave your life to Jesus, Christ is living in you right now? How can that be? It’s such a mystery, for sure! The apostle Paul said it this way…
God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
God has come to live inside each one of us who believe. We are to be His hands and feet on the earth so that if people look at our lives, they will actually see a living picture of who Jesus is.
It’s a lot to take in.
So let’s pause for a moment and pray…
Jesus, thank You that Your Spirit is in me. Help me to shine Your goodness, Your righteousness and Your justice, and to share Your Gospel of truth everywhere I go in this world.
Amen! Let it be so in your lives today, my friend.

During the time of the Old Testament, God spoke to a few chosen people through prophets and miraculous signs.
But now, all believers have direct access to God through prayer and the Holy Spirit.
This is what Jesus said about the Spirit of God living in each one of us who believe…He said,
I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Next time you need to talk to God, remember this—He is with you and He lives IN YOU. Speak to Him in prayer whenever you’re in need. God Himself is with you, today.
