  • Our next guest is the first natural redhead to walk the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway!

Alexina Graham started her modeling career at age 17 and has been in the industry for over 15 years. She has graced many high fashion runways from Jean Paul Gaultier to Balmain, to Amani and has graced the covers of Elle, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazarre and more. Alexina had her major break when she became an international spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris in 2016, which was one of her fondest moments in the industry. Then, in 2018, she went on to walk the Victoria's Secret runway and became a Victoria's Secret angel shortly after.

  • This Olympics-themed episode will leave you feeling inspired, thankful, and motivated. Our next guest is Clara Brown. On the world championship stage, she has won 11 total medals, including 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze in both track cycling and road cycling.

Growing up, she had a strong athletic background in gymnastics, running, and skiing until she suffered a neck injury at 12. Despite this setback, she found solace in rowing during high school. However, it wasn't until after college that she discovered her true calling in para-cycling, where she excelled and earned accolades.

The U.S. Paralympics Cycling announced 13 athletes -- seven men and six women -- to compete for Team USA at the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, and Clara Brown is one of those 13. We're thrilled to watch her compete later this month in Paris!

Beyond sports, Clara enjoys cooking, hiking, and camping, and harbors ambitions of becoming a pilot and maybe even going to law school.

  • For the only time this season, we (Adrienne + Stephanie) wanted to take some time to welcome you to this new season and share our story about our experience on ABC's Shark Tank. It has been a life-changing year for us, especially for the How to be a Redhead (H2BAR) brand.

We got the outcome we desired in “the tank” — but even if we didn’t, we would have soaked up all of the advice and ran with it. We talk about our thought process before filming, our time pitching to the Sharks & our deal with Mark Cuban.

  • The How to be a Redhead podcast is back!

This is technically our 6th season, but we are dropping a new episode every Friday way into 2025 and have decided to simply call it a "new season". We know so many of you have requested a new episode and a video version every week -- we're here to deliver. Listen wherever you listen to podcasts, and you can now stream every episode weekly on YouTube! Click here to watch this episode's interview on our channel.

Our first guest this season is Scott Thompson, better known to fans around the world as Carrot Top. From humble beginnings on the comedy circuit to 31 star-studded appearances on "The Tonight Show," Carrot Top's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. "When I started touring at the beginning of my career, I had two trunks and a strobe light," said Carrot Top. "Things got pretty crazy pretty fast, and before I knew it, I had a team touring the country in an 18-wheeler with 35 trunks full of props."

Now as a Las Vegas headliner and one of the best comedy residencies, Carrot Top can be seen nightly in Las Vegas or in a city near you, giving guests a spectacle worthy of most arena rock bands and features lights, music, fog machines, and streamer cannons – all in addition to his trunks full of props.

Just like How to be a Redhead, Carrot Top's entire brand is about being a redhead. We had a blast talking to Scott/Carrot Top and we think you'll find him down to earth, relatable and of course -- hilarious!

  • We're one week away from National #LoveYourRedHairDay weekend and we have one more episode dropping on November 3rd! We're having some of our favorite conversations to wrap up the season and we'd like everyone to welcome Laura Jackel to the How to be a Redhead podcast!

She's the Senior Lifestyle Writer at Mamamia, Australia’s super channel for women. She is also a mum of two boys and a former natural redhead. She recently wrote an article titled: 'I've been blonde, brunette and a redhead. There's one colour I would not go back to.' She details how she was born with natural red hair and journeyed through different hair colors. We are so excited for you to enjoy this interesting conversation. Some of the questions we asked her:

Why did you write this article? And how was it to reflect on your hair journey? You write about now turning gray, saying, “The graying remains of my natural ginger hair are for now, still under my cool blonde highlights and I feel nostalgic and sad about the fact I didn't embrace its natural shade for longer than I did." We read your son is a natural redhead -- do you share tips with him on self-acceptance?“As a ginger-haired, pale, and freckle-faced kid, I would have done anything to change my hair color and complexion. I faced plenty of teasing for being a redhead..” Now for the question we ask our redhead guests: what was it like for you growing up as a redhead? From reading your article, it seems like it was not pleasant. You say you went back to red for your wedding and for the birth of your child. It made us wonder how your husband feels (or felt then) about your natural red hair and if he influenced you to go back to your natural red hair?We found it interesting you went from red to blonde to brunette, saying, “But in my late 20s when I decided I wanted to be taken more seriously at work, I completed the hair trifecta and became a brunette.” Tell us more.As we mentioned before, you went back to red for the birth of your child in 2010. Why?Now for the present day, you’re blonde. We wanted to read the last sentence of the article to listeners. You say, “Perhaps in years to come, I will branch out and embrace my greys or even try a candy pink, but right now I'm comfortable as a blonde."What advice do you have for redheads, no matter their age, struggling with their identity? Do you recommend trying a new hair color or embracing you?

  • If you listen to us regularly, you know we did a different podcast flow for Episode 20. Usually, we chat, then we call our guest, we reflect on the guest after the conversation is over, and we end it with Q&A. For the 20th episode, we put together 2 interviews with coinciding topics. We heard great reviews, so we’re back to do it again with today’s episode!

This time, we’re dedicating this special episode to those who dye their hair red. You could be a true redhead ‘by choice’ or a natural redhead wanting to be more vibrant.

  • We have a passion for beauty at H2BAR. We, Adrienne and Stephanie, grew up in an environment where many of the women around us were passionate about skincare, makeup, and beauty routines. It influenced us to start HowtobeaRedhead.com in 2012 and why we wanted to start the first-ever redhead beauty-focused podcast (the How to be a Redhead podcast) in 2018. We jump into specific topics all of the time and sometimes forget there are redheads out there without a deep background in beauty.

Today's guest is Pam Cameron. We're so excited for you to meet our lovely, kind, natural-redhead podcast producer. Throughout 2023, we have had many conversations with Pam and she would ask us beauty-related questions. We thought, "Our listeners would love to hear this..."

So, here we go. We ask Pam the following questions:

We’ll start off by asking about your beauty background. Was your mom into beauty? We know you have a redhead sister too! Is she into beauty? Before meeting us, what were your beauty concerns? Did you have any? Frizzy hair? Dry, itchy skin?We sent you a box of products with hair/skin items – and Finally Have Lashes/Finally Have Brows. You’ve been testing and trying items for a while now. What questions do you have? Have you enjoyed any products? We know you asked us about using mascara and how to apply it and what to do with the tube. What are your questions about mascara?Brows! How are you doing using Finally Have Brows!?Skincare: What does your skincare routine look like? What questions do you have about the steps when applying skincare?Do you wear SPF daily?Haircare: We know you just started using conditioner! How does your hair feel? Are there any products you want to try but are afraid to do so?

  • To kick off our 20th episode this season, we're doing something special today! It will be a different format because we're covering two important topics: how to donate your red hair + redhead wigs. To help us answer your questions, we have 2 different guests on today's episode:

The first guest is Suzanne Chimera. She’s a native New Yorker and President/Co-Founder of HairWeShare. She founded it in 2014 after being a custom wig designer for twenty years. HairWeShare creates custom wigs for children AND adults with medical hair loss. This is important because many wig organizations only make wigs for kids – but HairWeShare makes wigs for adults + kids.

Then, we called Jordan Fuelberth. She’s a 24-year-old natural redhead and works as a certified veterinary technician in Illinois. She has always been a huge supporter of WigsforKids and she feels blessed to be a donor! If you didn’t see her viral hair donation TikTok video with millions, and millions, and millions of views (click here), you’re in for a treat. If you happened to see around 36” of red hair being chopped off on TikTok, it was probably Jordan. She will detail how she donated 1 full yard of her own red hair!

If there is anything you can take away from this podcast, it is that redheads have the power to change lives in some way. It could be donating your unique hair, it could be sending this podcast to a friend or family member NEEDING a wig, and/or it could be donating monetarily to the organizations mentioned.

    Donate to HairWeShare

  • We're always asked if redheads can get laser hair removal. Season 2, Episode 12 we talked about this very topic. But, lasers are getting more and more advanced and is there an update *four* years later?

We're calling our guest all the way across the pond -- in London, UK. Matthew Rundle is our guest today. He owns Mayfair Aesthetics Laser and Skin Clinic with four (4) locations in London. Mayfair has won twelve (12) awards and helped over 10,000 clients achieve smooth, hair-free skin. Besides laser hair removal, Mayfair also offers a range of skin treatments including facials, peels, and semi-permanent makeup.

We ask him the following questions:

What is laser hair removal and will it work for redheads? What is the difference between electrolysis and laser hair removal? What is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and who does it work for? Your clinic also offers semi-permanent makeup. What is this procedure like? Could a redhead benefit from this?Redheads usually have sensitive skin. Before a redhead goes in for a facial or a peel, what should they know first? Are there certain treatments that they should avoid? There are so many products on the market that claim to remove hair painlessly. There’s Bleam (the crystal hair eraser), epilators, creams, at-home IPL devices, etc. As consumers, how can we evaluate whether a product will work for us or not?Your clinics are on the cutting edge of hair removal technology (which keep getting better!). What new treatments/tools do you see on the horizon?
