In this episode I talk about using fitness to overcome eating disorders and depression with Finland’s Amanda Essen.
Fitness is like everything for me my passion. Before I found the gym, I wasn’t so into fitness and modeling. And I was like nothing about sports. I played soccer, but it wasn’t my thing. I just did it because everybody did.
When I stepped the first time in the gym, it was like, I just fell in love. I really directly find the connection and like, I don’t know, something lights inside me. And I started like, understand that I have a body and I need to take care of it and I want to be strong and I want to change everything, inside and outside. Like, yeah, become a strong woman and not be the person that everybody else wants me to be.

In this episode Kim and I talk with 42 time Windsurfing World Champion, Bjorn Dunkerbeck. Bjorn has been competing in multiple windsurfing disciplines for over 30 years. He has been on the podium almost 300 times and is the most award athlete in any sport.
On Thursday, November 18 2021, in Namibia, legendary windsurfer Björn Dunkerbeck broke the speed barrier, hitting 103.67kph over a two-second time gap – and holding an average speed of 101kph over a 100m stretch of water. He is the fastest windsurfer ever.
Dunkerbeck’s first speed record is now almost 30 years old – back in 1992, he hit 43.30 knots (80.1kph). As the technology to measure speed evolved over the years and the windsurfing equipment used to attempt it, Dunkerbeck kept chasing the next milestone, ultimately leading him to what may be the last big one: 100kph.
He was on a 40cm wide AVBoard speed windsurf board, with a 19cm fin and a 5.5 Severne Mach 4 Lüderitz Speed Challenge LT sail – it all had to work perfectly to hit top speed!
In October 2023, a 2 hour long documentary titled BJÖRN DUNKERBECK – BORN TO WINDSURF will be released across Europe.
