This week on Invasion of the Podcast I am joined by my wife Mary as we talk about all things Disney's The Haunted Mansion. This week I am joined by both halves of At the Devil's Ball, Nathaniel and Sammaeal, to look at John Carpenter's second to last film, 2001's Ghosts of Mars. An ancient force has been awakened in a mining colony on Mars that causes people to mutilate themselves and attack anyone not affected. Also, it mysteriously causes flashbacks during flashbacks, odd editing choices, and robs Ice Cube of his ability to act. Tuck in., it's going to get weird.

This week on Invasion of the Podcast, I am joined by the other half of At the Devil's Ball, Sammaeal, to take a trip back to our Year of Cannon and talk about 1985's Lifeforce. Can Tobe Hooper, fresh off the success/complications of Poltergeist take the novel Space Vampires and turn it into a $100 million block buster? This is the Year of Canon, so you can probably guess the answer. So enjoy the conversation about a film that should have been shorter or longer, more serious or less serious, and well, should have treated all women involved better.
